"Very pleased. They were extremely knowledgeable about the products and what would best work for our home. We loved the fact that the products were brought to our house to pick out. The installers moved all of our furniture which was awesome. They were even willing to stay later to finish the job so that no one had to take off work the next day. Would definitely use them again."

"This was a second remodel for us. We used West Shore again at our new home. The Installation guys were fantastic! Very professional. Gary M. came back to install the remaining accessories and was super nice and made sure we were satisfied with the installation. I highly recommend West Shore Home."

"I hired Cransten to remodel my bathroom. It was getting old and in need of an update. They came in, replaced the floor, built a shower pan, and laid custom tile around my shower. I was impressed with how friendly and professional they were. I would definitely hire them again!"

"I was very much impressed with the installers and their work. They left the place cleaner when the left than when they found it. They also put in a patio cover for me and they did great on that also!"

"From the initial contact; the response was quick, timely and the quote was very reasonable. The day of installation, we were instructed to hang plastic to prevent dust from the quartz cut . The crew were professional , very respectful and knowledgeable. The craftsmanship and skill set was very impressive. I would highly recommend them to my friends. Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

The tile trim you use will depend on a few factors, including design preferences, budget, and whether the project is DIY or not. You might choose plastic trim if you want an easier DIY job that is more budget-friendly. There are also more color options available in plastic. On the other hand, you might choose metal to match your fixtures or for areas with heavy use.

For glass tile, you want to use unsanded grout. Sanded grout is a stronger and grittier cement grout that is great for installing tiles with wider gaps and into joints. However, it is susceptible to scratching glass tile and is more difficult to use in thinner gaps. Unsanded grout, while more expensive, is easier to fit between thin gaps and is less harsh on delicate materials, like glass tile.

Bathrooms are naturally moisture-rich environments, so choose a durable, water-resistant tile for your tub surround. Porcelain and ceramic are two popular options that are also quite affordable. Glass is another good option that’s also low-maintenance—you just need a glass cleaner like you would use on the bathroom mirror. Natural stone tile is porous, but it’s still a viable option if you choose it in a glazed version.

You can use sanded or unsanded grout for a shower pan, but sanded grout isn’t the best option for shower walls. For those areas, you’ll want to use unsanded grout, which works well on vertical surfaces and is less likely to slump than sanded grout. Alternatively, you can use epoxy grout for shower walls.

No, painting shower tile doesn’t last and is better reserved as a temporary solution to refreshing the look of old tiles. Shower tile paint may last around one to five years, depending on how well you prep the surface before painting, the type of paint you use, the type of tile in your shower, and how often you use the shower.
