"The folks at T & C Tree Care are awesome. They are friendly and courteous and very dependable. We got our free estimate on Saturday and they were at our home the next morning ready to work. They did a big pruning job on four very overgrown gardenias and cut down another tree for us. They also cut the tree up in small pieces so that we can burn them in our fireplace. They also made sure everything was cleared out before they left. My husband and I are both seniors and we just can't take care of the yard the way we used to. They're going to keep coming by and pruning our gardenias for us later on. We highly recommend them and will be using them again in the future."

"Garden of Eva. Did a wonderful job on our front. Yard. We have lived in our home for 20 years. I do not do yardwork. I didn't want my husband spending days working on yard maintenance. They gave us a lo maintenance yard and a pondless waterfall. The week they worked on our project the temps were in the high 90's, but did not stop them. I am not a plant person but I knew how I wanted it to look. Eva picked out the plants we needed to accomplish the low maintenance and the look. Thanks so much to your crew who worked so hard and the successful completion of the project."

"Dustin has been mowing my property for several months. He is always punctual and alerts me when he is going to be at my place. I have also had him trim my palm trees and he replaced one that had died. He always does a good job."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

After tree service in Myrtle Beach, schedule annual inspections by a certified arborist to monitor tree health and address salt spray or pest issues common in coastal areas. Regular tree trimming every few years, especially before hurricane season, is recommended by the City of Myrtle Beach Urban Forestry Division. Maintain mulch, check irrigation systems, and watch for signs of disease to keep your landscape resilient.

Helpful?

When hiring for tree service in Myrtle Beach, always verify that the company is licensed and insured as required by the City of Myrtle Beach and the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Look for an ISA Certified Arborist for expert tree health advice. Ask for local references, check for experience with hurricane preparation, and confirm that debris removal and stump grinding are included in the written estimate.

Helpful?

Homeowners in Myrtle Beach should factor in hurricane risk, salt air, and sandy soils when planning tree service. The City of Myrtle Beach encourages planting storm-resistant species like live oaks and palmetto palms. Be mindful of invasive plants and follow any wetland buffer regulations enforced by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. Avoid major tree work during peak summer heat to reduce stress on your trees.

Helpful?

In Myrtle Beach, unexpected costs during tree service can include fees for obtaining city permits, coordinating with utility companies as required by the City of Myrtle Beach, and specialized equipment for large or hazardous removals. You may also encounter charges for repairing sprinkler systems or fences, and extra cleanup if storm debris is involved. Consulting a certified arborist can help identify potential issues before work begins.

Helpful?

In Myrtle Beach, a tree removal permit from the City of Myrtle Beach Planning Department is required for removing most trees over six inches in diameter. Additional permissions may be needed for protected or heritage trees, and work near wetlands may involve the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. Always confirm requirements with city officials before starting any tree trimming or removal project.
