Straightline Remodeling is a hands on company and sub contracts very little. Billing is straight forward, payment is due when job is complete. If it is a large job I take draws along the way.

Small business looking to help you put your taste in your home. I have a passion for doing any and all types of remodeling. I was introduced to this business when I was ten years old by my father and have loved doing this work ever since. I even have a degree from USC in psychology and still choose my true passion of construction. I am very knowledgable in most if not all fields of the construction world. My estimates are free and I would love to come take a look at whatever one may need done in their home.

"Johnny is the consummate professional. He went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied. He has a true passion for his work and can design a system for any budget. My home is tastefully lit and doesn’t look like a shopping center. The photos do not do it justice. I would not hesitate to hire him again!"

Locally owned and operated franchise serving Lexington and Richland Counties since 2001. A+ BBB Rating

"This was for our rental property; we live in another state. Explained the simple problems over the phone, asked for a plumber. The work took three visits and several weeks because they kept sending unqualified technicians (they sent electricians) who did not know how to properly complete the work. I don't think it's fair that even after describing the problem over the phone and asking specifically for a plumber, and them assuring us that they would be able to provide a plumber, they repeatedly sent other tradesmen AND charged us for it each time! All their paperwork says not to pay until you are satisfied with the job but they were pressuring us to pay anyway, and being difficult about coming out to fix their work. Even after $100 in military discounts, our bill was still $500 - their fees are outrageous. We didn't want to end up being sent to collections, so we finally just paid them what they said we owed so we could get rid of them, drove the eight hours to the property and fixed it ourselves in less than an hour for $13, (and we're not plumbers). Very dissatisfied. Beware."

I am not taking on any new customers at this time. I am booked over three months. Thanks for looking! I am an LLR licensed Residential Home builder specialized in home repair but my licenses allow me to accept commercial business up to $5k per job. I also hold specialty contractor licenses in plumbing and electrical. I have been in business under my license since 2006 but have worked under other contractors for 15 years. Small to medium size projects are my preference but I treat them all with the same professionalism. I give free written estimates. I offer turn-key repairs with a warranty in most cases and don't move on the the next job until yours is complete. I itemize materials and labor and provide you copies of receipts for materials. Dependable, smoke and drug free. No labor payment is due until job is done right and customer is satisfied!

Closets questions, answered by experts

If you have a bathroom closet with movable shelves, you can place them at virtually any spacing that works for you. Useful measurements between shelves in the working, or middle, section can be 10 to 16 inches for towels or linens. Lower or higher shelving could be up to 24 inches between shelves to store lesser-used or bulky items or boxes.

You can design your own closet, but it’s usually better to hire a professional to do the work for you. Not only will you get years of design experience to guide you toward the right layout and material choices, but you’ll also only pay slightly more hiring a professional than you would creating your own plans and hiring a carpenter. A high-quality closet designer can provide insight into how to lay out your closet, and they may be able to find you a good deal on the carpentry or complete the work using an affordable, in-house team.

You can budget a little less money for how to build a closet with wire shelves than with wood shelves. Some people don’t like the aesthetics that wire shelves provide, though, meaning they’ll gladly spend a little more to add wood shelves to the build. If you decide to buy pre-made wire shelves instead of building custom-sized wood shelves, you’ll be restricted in the closet shelving dimensions you can use.

There are a few reasons custom closets are expensive: materials used, the luxury factor, and time to build. The people who can afford custom closets are those who can afford increased rates, and construction workers and contractors know this and charge accordingly. The time to build custom closets is substantial, especially if expensive material is being used or intricate details (like carved wood) are added to the project.

Adding a mudroom is one of the most budget-friendly home additions compared to other projects, costing between $8,000 and $16,000 on average. Not only is the room often quite small, but it also requires minimal fixtures or wiring to make the room practical. The most costly features include a weatherproof floor and an exterior door.
