"Did not do work, but pricing was competitive with everyone else.  Invoice got lost in junk e-mail, so did not think I ever received invoice, but I found it a month or so after job was completed again.  If\when I have another job will call All Foam and make sure Invoice doesn't get lost in junk e-mail!

"Fantastic experience all around using SWS to encapsulate my crawl space from initial proposal through job completion. Chris Borgman with SWS conducted a very comprehensive assessment of my crawlspace, which included a series of pictures and a hand drawn schematic of the space. Chris walked me through his assessment and presented his recommendation, which I felt was very well thought out and made the most sense in terms of what issues were and were not present in the crawlspace. Never any pressure or upselling. The proposal was cost competitive as well. I had numerous follow up questions after receiving the proposal and Chris was always prompt to respond, patient and pleasant to deal with and definitely went the extra mile to help coordinate the work to accommodate my schedule and other projects going on at my house concurrently. When it came time for the work to be performed, Eduardo and his crew were just as fantastic. They spent four solid days working in the crawlspace. They were friendly, courteous and very respectful of my property at all times. Once the job was complete I went down into the crawl and Eduardo walked me through everything that had been done, showed me the features of the system and took the time to answer any questions that I had. This was at the end of the 4th day and I’m sure he and his crew were ready to call it a day and head home, but he patiently addressed all of my questions. I could tell that he took great pride in the quality of work that he and his crew perform. I got the same vibe from Chris as well. My experience with SWS leaves me with the feeling that the company not only takes great pride in what they do, but that they also conduct their business with honesty and integrity and are committed to delivering a solution that optimally meets the needs of each customer. They do not flinch when it comes to going above and beyond if necessary either. I cannot recommend highly enough!"

"They installed solar panels as per contract. They were on time and removed all material when done. I had roof damage from a storm and they repaired it at no extra cost. So far I am happy with this company and plan on using them again for house repair.

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

While every home has its own unique needs, ceiling drywall installation typically follows a staggered or stepped pattern to enhance structural integrity and reduce the visibility of seams. Starting from one corner, sheets are placed perpendicular to the ceiling joists, with the ends of adjacent sheets meeting along the center of the joist. The next row begins with a half sheet, ensuring joints don't align vertically. This alternating pattern, combined with proper taping and mudding, creates a seamless appearance and strengthens the ceiling structure, minimizing the risk of cracks over time.

Yes, it is possible to rewire a house without removing the drywall, but this doesn’t work in all homes. You can pull out old wires and insert new ones if you have access to the wiring system via the ceiling or through a crawl space. Some pros can also use a magnetic kit to fish the old wire out of the wall through a hole cavity and install the new wires. Just keep in mind that doing this is less stable than removing drywall, as you won’t be able to staple the wires into the framing.

You do not need to drywall over most types of garage insulation. However, doing so can increase noise reduction, make the space more attractive, and keep children and pets from touching harmful fiberglass insulation. If you’re using cellulose or some other type of blown-in insulation (fiberglass and mineral wool are common), you will need drywall to contain the insulation material.

Yes, you can install drywall over plaster, but there are important factors to consider. While it can create a smooth, flat surface, it is often not the best approach. Installing drywall over plaster will increase the wall's thickness, which can cause issues with existing window and door frames that may no longer fit. You might also need to adjust power outlets to keep them accessible. A better, though more expensive, option is to remove the old plaster and lath entirely before installing new drywall. Drywalling directly over plaster seals in the old material, and if any problems arise later, you will need to remove both layers down to the structural beams for repairs. Given the potential complications, this job is best handled by professionals.

While not always necessary, you can glue a drywall ceiling in addition to using screws or nails. Drywall is typically secured to ceiling joists with fasteners, which is often sufficient. However, adding construction adhesive can offer benefits like preventing sagging, bridging gaps, and reducing air leaks for better energy efficiency. It may also be used for specific acoustic or insulation needs. On the other hand, many professionals advise against it because properly placed screws make the drywall structural, glue doesn't add strength, and it makes future repairs or replacements significantly more difficult. Ultimately, it's best to follow local building codes and project-specific requirements to decide if adhesive is right for your ceiling.
