"Greg, Marcus, Bill, and Clark did the work on my house. they were a pleasure to work with, on time each morning, cleaned up the job site, and did a great job on leveling my floors. There was a significant sag, but it is not even noticeable anymore. I would be happy to use them again.....would hope for the same crew, really good."

"The contracted the work off to a third party. Jon took longer than expected. The windows was installed pretty good from the looks. Communication could have been better with knowing the job will take longer and what types of trims I wanted for the windows. As the contractor that was hired for this job by this company. Did a good job with putting up decent trim. As for the new windows they look great. I purchased the myself and hired sentri homes to install them. I will need to have a my siding on my house redone to be closer to the new windows so the gaps are not so obvious. That was not expected at first. But from old storm windows and not knowing how they were put in originally. There was some unknown things that was learned from the job being completed. I will have the siding of the house slightly done to match really good for what I wanted later on. My only concern is better communication with sentri homes. Overall they were great when I did talk to them."

"I am an insurance agent so I am well versed in claims on both the commercial side and personal lines side (homeowners coverage).  I didn't think I had enough damage for insurance to cover the roof but knew I needed a new roof based on the age (over 20 years old) and condition.  Lakeside (Todd) confirmed my suspicisions (I didn't share them with him before the inspection) and stated that the small leaks that had popped up during the flooding rains were a condition of the older roof and that insurance wouldn't cover a replacement.  He recommended a replacement of the roof and gave me a quote.  Their contractors gave me a full drawing of the roof with measurements and what would be replaced in what quantities so that I knew exactly why they made their recommendations and what would be replaced and repaired.  The quote was less expensive (even though they estimated additional materials based on broken roof decking boards that other companies wanted to charge for in addition to their quotes) than other companies and their explanation was more in depth and transparent.  Todd was great about scheduling and the materials were delivered on time and the crew arrived bright and early the next day.  Todd even mentioned that we might want to consider taking our dog to a friend's house during the work periods so he wouldn't be scared of all the noise (which I didn't even think about).  The crew completed the work in a day and a half (the house has a large roof footprint for a rancher) and the crew cleaned up meticulously.  I had always heard rumors about having to go out in the yard and pick up nails and other materials left behind but I found a grand total of 2 nails and absolutely nothing else.  My friends were amazed.  I would happily recommend Lakeside to friends/family/neighbors because they did a great job for me.  They guarantee their work for 5 years and their materials come with the manufacturer's warranty (which all do when installed correctly from what they told me).  I trusted them with my roof and would do so again.

"Good. CHW connected us with MJ Services for an appointment. MJ Services technician came to the house on the morning of the appointment date, assessed, found and reported the broken equipment. He placed a temporary solution to keep the house warm during Christmas break while we waited for the parts to come in. In the afternoon, CHW sent me a note that the equipment was ordered and provided an estimated delivery date, and arranged a follow up appointment to replace the broken part."

House Leveling questions, answered by experts

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.

Mudjacking is your best bet for leveling concrete on a tighter budget. It’s less expensive than foam or grout mixture. For smaller, surface-level issues, you could also use a self-leveling compound, which creates an even surface over existing concrete—it’s a budget-friendly option suitable for DIY enthusiasts.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.

Costs range from $500 to $1,500, depending on the size and condition of the area.
