"This company did an excellent job installing porcelain tile on our screened porch. They helped us select the tile and pattern, and completed the project in a timely manner at a reasonable cost. Our neighbors who saw the porch were also very impressed. When we discovered that the screen door did not quite close correctly, they responded promptly and fixed the problem. Because of the quality of their work and their professionalism, we would not hesitate to recommend them for any flooring project."

"I got five Bids for the Project, and Inlet Hardwood Flooring was one of the three low Bidders. I chose Jodie Gibbs because of his Professionalism and reading all of the great Reviews he had online. Jody and his Assistant completed the Work in 10-hours over two days. This included removal and Disposal of Carpeting, laying the new Flooring, and Clean-Up. My Wife and I were extremely happy with the results, a beautiful new Red Oak Hardwood Floor for our Master Bedroom. Jody also gave us tips on how to clean and maintain the Floor in the future, and he provided Chemicals for us. In Summary, I highly recommend Inlet Hardwood Flooring and Owner, Jody Gibbs. Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Yes, but you’ll have to use some other type of tool to avoid damaging the tile and possibly injuring yourself. Some alternatives to tile cutters include a glass cutter, angle grinder, and wet saw. Depending on the tile material, you might simply be able to measure and score it with something sharp, like a carbide-tipped pencil, and break it off. Be sure to sand the edge for a smooth installation.

When tiling over concrete, you should install an anti-fracture membrane after the concrete has been prepared. The anti-fracture membrane acts as a moisture barrier and should be installed to protect the tiles from moisture which helps maintain their integrity. Often, Ditra, a brand name, is used interchangeably with moisture barrier.

No, you don’t technically need a cement backer board for a wall tiling project, but not using it risks disastrous moisture damage. Cement is naturally water-resistant, whereas drywall soaks it in, which can lead to warping or mold growth. Always use a backer board treated with a waterproof membrane for bathrooms and other chronically damp areas to ensure complete tile shower waterproofing.

Thinset mortar is the best adhesive for ceramic tiles on concrete. It is easy to work with and has a slower dry time than mastic or epoxy mortars. This longer dry time gives the installer more time to adjust tiles, which is especially useful for DIYers who may not have tile installation experience. It can also be built up to help level any depressions or gaps in the concrete subfloor.

Professionals can enhance bathroom aesthetics by recommending and implementing design elements such as modern fixtures, high-quality tiles, and efficient layouts. They ensure cohesive style, compliment functionality, and an enhanced visual appeal in the space.
