"From the initial estimate to completion of the painting job, Ronnie was responsive and dependable. His estimate for the work was very reasonable. He called the day before he planned to start to let me know his team would arrive at 7:30 a.m., which they did; and they immediately got to work. Ronnie had to travel to several paint stores to get a particular stain that we needed for the job, and he handled that well -- not annoyed or flustered by the inconvenience. He also replaced some damaged shingles and moved a set of exterior shutters to an upper window. The team was neat and organized and worked together like a well-oiled machine. He asked me to inspect the work when he finished and told me to call him if I found any problems and he would return to fix them. I haven't found any problems at all. I would definitely hire Ronnie again - for either interior or exterior work. I highly recommend him."

"We used Pedro's and couldn't be more satisfied!!! His teams were friendly, polite, prompt and very good at what they do. My husband and I tried to do the work ourselves, unsuccessfully. Pedro's team not only had to prime and paint the interior of our home they had to repair the horrible mud job we did. Pedro explained what need to be done and quoted a price that was quite fair. They covered EVERYTHING with sheeting, including appliances, even though not having to paint that side of the kitchen. When they were finished they left my house spotless, including the floors. The team did everything Pedro said they would and my home looks great again. We would happily use them again and recommend them to friends!"

Painting questions, answered by experts

You should inspect the area regularly for rust, clean it with a wire brush, repaint it every few years, and apply a protective sealant to prevent corrosion.

DIY is possible but presents risks of uneven surfaces or improper adhesion; professionals offer expertise to ensure a lasting finish.

Whitewashing isn’t permanent, but it can last for a long, long time. When you apply it correctly or have a seasoned pro whitewash your brick, whitewashing can last for 20 to 30 years or longer. Whitewash is very durable and typically requires little maintenance, making it a great project for most DIYers.

Acrylic latex paint is the best option to use on your outdoor wrought iron fence, because it holds up well against the elements. Use a high-quality, exterior-grade paint specifically designed for use on metal. You can choose between spray paint or regular liquid paint. As for primer, it's best to use an oil-based and rust inhibiting option before painting your wrought iron fence.

Stain is meant to be absorbed by the porous wood, allowing some of the natural grain to show through. With that in mind, you don’t want to add more stain than the wood can absorb, as you risk covering up its natural markings. Generally, two coats is the maximum you should do, although very dense hardwoods may only be able to take a single coat.
