"Trey and Maynor were very efficient, professional and friendly with the move. The price was great for moving locally from a 1 story home to another 1 story home. 1 bed, a sofa, a chair, a large freezer and a few other items in the house were moved quickly, safely and efficiently. Choose this company!"

"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"Absolutely the best decision I made when planning a move. They packed my house carefully and perfectly. When I was ready to move, they moved everything with precision and care. The cost was reasonable and matched the estimate. They showed up on time for both jobs. The crews were pleasant as well as professional. If you want the very best in a moving company look no further than Easy Movers, Inc. I highly recommend them for every move."

"We just had Citywide Moving move us from Fort Mill, SC to Murrells Inlet, SC. We have moved several times over the years and I can honestly say that we have never had a more professional and courteous experience with a move. The movers were excellent, thoughtful and showed a high degree of respect for our belongings. Both the load and the unload were accomplished with Zero damage to any of our belongings. I highly recommend Citywide Moving to anyone looking to move."

"The team at Reign Moving Solutions absolutely saved us this week. My parents are older and got their move-out date confused, and we found ourselves needing a moving company with an hour's notice. Reign came to our rescue, and their team did an amazing job! And I must add that this was not a simple move. They stored my parents' belongings for three days and provided last-minute moving supplies. I am truly blown away by the quality and care of this moving company! Top-notch and we will absolutely use them again!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

To prepare for moving a piano, start by documenting its current condition with photos in case of any damage during the move. Secure the piano's lid and wrap the instrument, including its keys and pedals, with bubble wrap and moving blankets for protection. Note that if you have hired professional piano movers, they may handle this step for you.

Next, prepare the space. Measure any tight spaces or doorways to ensure the piano will fit through. Clear a wide path from the piano's location to the exterior door, removing any furniture or obstacles. It is also helpful to prop open doors to make the exit easier.

On moving day, ensure the moving truck can park as close to the exit as possible. For safety, keep children and pets away from the moving area to prevent accidents or distractions.

Knowing how much a typical long-distance move will cost is the first step in the budgeting process. Start by calling at least three local moving companies for quotes so you have a ballpark range—then you can start saving weekly. You can also start decluttering your home to reduce your truck weight and try to find donated packing supplies from local businesses or neighbors that recently moved.

To make sure that your moving quote is fair, check current prices for hiring movers in your area. Your starting and final locations can affect the price. You should also make sure you include the cost of any specialty movers in your price estimate. Calculate your moving costs including the estimated expense of moving services and compare the figure to average costs in your area.

Never attempt to move a partially-filled tank, especially with the fish still in it. Even a minor alteration or adjustment in your movement can cause the water to move, disrupting the balance and potentially causing you to drop the tank or strain your back to prevent it from falling. However, you should maintain enough water on the bottom to keep the substrate slightly submerged during transit.

There are generally three ways to ship furniture to another state: hiring professional movers, using consolidated freight, or through parcel shipping. Professional movers will generally pack your boxes in a truck and transport them to a storage facility or directly to your home.

A consolidated freight service will pack, load, and ship your items, but this is best to use for one or two pieces since your items will take longer to be delivered and will share truck space with other items. Parcel shipping such as UPS and FedEx is best for smaller items since there are size limits, and you’ll have to drop the boxes off at a local branch.
