"Scheduled total system replacement for early August due to AC problems. Contractor made appropriate recommendations for system size and design, and condensate handling for attic mounted unit. Identified presence of asbestos in duct insulation and furnace base panel; contractor coordinated abatement contractor and expanded system scope to replace all distribution ductwork. Work was completed professionally and in timely manner. Based on six months of data (heating season) system provides significant energy use reduction over prior unit."

"Excellent. From the sales and operational side of the project (Alex Determan) to the main technician (Robert Williams and his helper), all very professional, on time, and did great work. The area that needed work was primarily in the crawl space under the house with some work on the top side in the laundry closet. This made the project a bit more challenging from design and build to ensure the system had proper cfm/air flow in the space constraints. They exceeded my expectations of the scope of the project with a good price. This comes from a Mechanical Engineering/Project Manager himself. I highly recommend Absolute Comfort Heating and Air Conditioning for your future HVAC needs."

"Greg was excellent, where other companies told us we needed to replace our units, he told us that we had 8 to 10 years of life left in our heating unit. He said it was in excellent condition and should not have to worry about it. Our A/C was nearing the end of it life, explained in detail how the A/C worked, the type of unit he recommended. It was so refreshing to hear a repair say that our heating system did not need to replace, so instead of selling us something he saved us lots of money. We plan to us Acosta Heating & A/C in the future, as I found out that their repair people do not work on commission where most our companies do."

"MY AC started making a noise late one night.  I called GSM and their service tech called me back within 5 minutes.  He came to the house around 10 PM and discovered the issue.  He had to get the part the next day, but called me back late that morning and set up a time and was actually waiting on me when I got to my house.  He had me up and running within an hour and a half and they gave me a package price, which reduced the cost.  I was so inmpressed with them, that I decided to sign up with their annual maintenance agreement.

"Alan Gaul merged two back to back closets and turned it into s larger pantry. He removed and closed off the two existing doors and repositioned it on the kitchen side. He did an excellent job and made sure everything was perfect and cleaned up before he left. I highly recommend him."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

Professional remodelers streamline the process, manage permits, and handle renovations efficiently—significantly mitigating risk while maintaining standards.

Structural engineers draw structural plans, which include detailed drawings of the structural components of a home only. Complete house plans will require additional work from an architect or draftsperson, whose drawings will take the structural drawings into account. They’ll also include more details about the finishing materials and layout of a home, including everything from roofing and flooring materials to the position of furniture, light fixtures, switches, and plumbing fixtures.

By providing precise guidelines that reduce errors and facilitate smooth execution.

Universal design costs can be minimal when you add them during construction; however, adding universal design principles to existing homes can sometimes increase renovation costs. For example, a mid-grade bathroom remodel is estimated to cost around $30,000, while a standard universal design remodel can cost closer to $40,000. Adding accessible design components can include widening hallways ($500 to $2,000), curbless showers ($2,000 to $8,000), and widening doors ($400 to $800). Keep in mind that these increased costs can lead to higher resale values because universal homes may appeal to a wider variety of buyers.

The longest part of building a custom home is the design phase. It takes multiple professionals and a ton of work to bring your vision for your dream home to life while sticking to a homebuilding budget and also ensuring everything is built to code. Expect the design phase for a custom home build to take six months to a year.
