Update 1/30/25 Anthony & Sylvan had a leak detection company come and locate the leak with a camera. The leak is in the piping from the pool to the pump. They said they would cover the cost of the camera detection, but fixing the leak my responsibility. Mind you my pool is 3 years old and the piping IN THE GROUND broke. The guys who installed the piping reeked of marijuana. But I was told not to worry, that the piping is inspected. Mind you, all the work to install your pool is subcontracted out. Estimate to repair it is $3,500!!! They will not cover the costs! Update 12/21/24 I finally received a response, a boilerplate email. It basically said for me to do a bucket test. Then, if I see it?s leaking for me to contact a leak detection company. If a leak is detected in the shell then I can re-contact Anthony Sylvan to determine the next steps. Otherwise, if it?s outside the shell, I?m on my own. This pool is less than three years old. I received no phone call, no communication to det

Brian Reaves is my service technician and does an excellent job each week keeping my pool clean and chemically balanced. Brian is very personable and conscientious and takes great pride in his work.

Overall 5 star rating. One person was not good. The scheduler - Bianca. -She was terrible with communication. I would leave many messages for her, and she would never call back. The Customer Manager was awesome. He called back right away, and answered all of our questions. All of the others were very kind and trustworthy. I was never afraid to leave them alone to do the work. The company has wonderful people and workers. Scheduler Bianca never called to let us know when the pool would be inspected or when it actually was inspected. It failed inspection. The issues were corrected last week. Again - the other scheduler was very good, however Bianca never contacted us at all about anything that we asked for.

Even though we paid more money, I liked the fact they are nation wide. I liked that its not a privately owned company so that I can retain my warranty for the full time period.

Used Anthony Sylvan for our pool remodel project in 2016, everything seemed to be satisfactory. We developed deterioration of the pool finish within the warranty period which was pointed out to a company representative. We were told to close the pool due to the end of the season and the warranty would be honored and the pool would be looked at in spring when easier to evaluate with the water level lower. What a mistake and change in their point of view when finally able to contact someone this year. Now they state the pool is out of warranty and the claim is closed. You want to talk about Jekyll and Hyde scenario, we went on good faith that this would be handled like gentlemen. I guess we could not be more wrong, now it is the big corporate mentality of taking it or see you in court. Guess what. we will see them in court. I would not recommend Anthony Sylvan to build me anything, It is all well and good for them to take your money and then not stand behind the work of the contractors they use. Two thumbs down!

I've done 3 renovations on my home, out of all the contractors I've used, this one was the best. They are very good company and completed everything quickly, efficiently and responded to any issues or questions immediately.

The experience was perfect from the design. The designer was wonderful. The project manager was amazing, but is no longer with the company. The final product is amazing, however the costumer service could use a little help.

I highly recommend Anthony & Sylvan Pools. Brian Reaves takes excellent care of our pool. He is very thorough, professional and a real asset to the company.

Their subcontractors do not care.

**UPDATE** 3/13/19: I received a phone call from Emma at Anthony & Sylvan Pools stating they are trying to improve any negative feedback posted online. She then stated that they were willing to offer me 2 free months of pool cleaning in exchange for me revising my online review to 5 stars. I immediately responded with absolutely not! Really?!?!? **UPDATE** Although Anthony and Sylvan replied to my online reviews with Thank you for making us aware of your concerns, we will be in contact with you soon; Of course the Customer service Manager from their corporate office contacted me but two months later, they still want me to pay for their design error OR take a $1,000 refund and by on my merry way. I refused to take the refund due to principal and I now am the proud owner of a pool that looks horrible at night due to improperly designed lighting placement. I highly suggest not doing business with Anthony and Sylvan Pools. Do not let their sales pitches deceive you. They constructed a 14-15k gallon gunite pool at my home. *Please read this before signing a contract with Anthony & Sylvan Pools* Do not be deceived by their sales pitch: been in business over 70 years.. lifetime warranty other companies will not be around in 10 years nationwide coverage..we have the best customer satisfaction in the business..we have the best people working for us. Use a website to search my name to see all of my positive reviews. We have the best project managers in the country etc. Solely based on my personal experience, here is what to expect when you sign a contract with Anthony & Sylvan pools: You will have to pay for the pool in full weeks before the pool is even completed. You will have to do a major cleanup of your house, yard, deck, etc after they are done since they only construct the pool. Your house will NOT be in the same condition after the completion of the pool as it was before they arrived at your property. They will tell you in the beginning that you do not have to deal with any of the subcontractors, we take care of every detail for you, but then when there is a problem (there was an issue with the deck paver subcontractor), I was told that Anthony and Sylvan will not require a sub to make any repairs, I must contact the sub myself and work out the errors with him directly. In addition to this, the design consultant (Tim Clarke) made an error with the placement of the (2) LED lights and I now have over 40% of my pool that is dark/no light at night and the wall to the sun deck is completely lit up because he placed the light to close to it(see attached pics for yourself). I upgraded to (2) lights and Tim stated they will see your pool from outer space yet almost half my pool has no lighting at night due to his design error. Since the beginning, Tim stated he would be alongside us throughout the build process yet he has been nowhere to be found after a few weeks of signing the contract and receiving my deposit. He is a true car salesman that tells you what you want to hear. Kevin (Anthony and Sylvan GM for their Charlotte branch) is not willing to help out in any way due to the design error of their design consultant/salesman and he went as far as to say You and your wife designed the pool with the help of the design consultant. The lighting issue was not an error on our part. So basically we as the consumer need to be design professionals in order to get the pool of our dreams because their company will take no liability for any errors in the design. All in all, I very much regret ever doing business with Anthony and Sylvan Pools and I feel that I was totally taken advantage of.

Our pool is beautiful and updated. We did have a bit of a hiccup, but they were easy to contact and stayed available until the job was done.

Very helpful and thoughtful during planning and budgeting phase.
