"Installed two heat pumps with duct work replacement. Polite, professional, on time, and quality work. Knowlegable sale rep who was able to put together a better package combining a varible speed air handler with suggested heat pump to achieve the desired syatem seer efficiency for less than competitors larger and more expensive units with the single and two stage handler. "The owner of this company, Hunter Sinclair, came to evaluate the problem we were having with our 23 year old gas fireplace. He was very neat by covering the area around the fireplace, worked efficiently to determine the problem and after careful work determined that a part needed to be replaced. Mr. Sinclair was as thorough as he could be considering it was an old gas fireplace! He let me know a week later that he was contacting all the distributors who may know the part number and after thoroughly working on trying to find the part, eventually found that the company, after contacting the company we purchased the fireplace from and made our fireplace had gone out of business 12 years earlier and no part could be found. Mr. Sinclair contacted me throughout his search keeping me apprised of his progress along the way. I was extremely impressed by Mr. Sinclair’s dedication to finding a solution to the problem and his consistent follow up on his progress. I highly recommend this company!"

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Gas grill installation costs around $540 on average, not including the price of the actual grill, and most homeowners pay between $120 and $1,400. This total will go toward laying down a new gas line, connecting it to your existing gas system, pressure testing the line, and connecting it to your grill. Your total project price will depend on the length of the gas line, whether or not the line needs to be installed underground, and the cost of the permits in your area.

On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. The exact lifespan depends on several factors, including the brand and quality of the grill, frequency of use, and whether the gas line is buried or above ground. With proper maintenance and care, such as regular deep cleanings to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits, a grill's life can be extended. Protecting the grill from the elements with a cover can also prevent rust and reduce the need for repairs. Most grill manufacturers also offer extended warranties, which vary in coverage and terms.

Safety steps include proper vent installation, connector tightness, and leak testing. A safe environment must be maintained throughout.

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease

Safety precautions include proper ventilation, regular inspections for leaks, and ensuring tanks and fittings are in good condition to prevent accidental release or fire hazards.
