"I had an amazing experience with Overall Solutions! They did an exceptional job cleaning my carpet—thorough, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. They took the time to explain the entire process, including the products they use, which gave me peace of mind. My carpet looks brand new, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. "Ron's performed air duct cleaning after the installation of our new HVAC system.  The technicians arrived exactly as scheduled, were very professional and courteous.  They performed their work very skillfully and proficiently without any waste of time.  They even evaluated and cleaned the clothes dryer vent.  I would most definitely use Ron's service again and would recommend this company to friends & family."

"Sam was very professional. He came and measured for an estimate and provided information on the product he uses. Once I accepted the job he was very courteous of my home and kept mess to a minimum. Floors were sanded done, patched, and epoxy and flaking was done. In all the process took about 3 days, most from the epoxy to cure. The end result is a very beautiful textured floor that looks wonderful and cleans easily!"

"There were four women doing the cleaning and they did a great job.  First time they were here and I could find no fault with them at all.  They were very courteous, professional and pleasant women.  I have had many cleaning ladies and they rate among the best.  They tried very hard to please me and they succeeded.

"Ivan went above and beyond. He was very quick to get back to me. He answered all calls and questions that I had for him. He sent me pictures of the specific grout that he recommended, and stayed on the phone with me when I had trouble locating it at the store. Ivan showed up early and on time to give a quote as well as to install my backsplash. Ivan was very patient in helping my wife decide the spacing that she envisioned to resemble laid brick. Ivan was very clean, placing paper on the ground to protect my floors and on my countertops. Ivan completed the job and it came out wonderfully. Ivan trusts his own work so much, he gives you a warranty. I would recommend him to anyone."

Floor Cleaning and Waxing questions, answered by experts

After carpet removal, prepare for new flooring by assessing the subfloor. You will want to address any imperfections to create a smooth and level base for installation. Remember, proper subfloor preparation is crucial for optimal new flooring results. Consider repairing and replacing damaged areas for a stable foundation. For both wood and concrete subfloors, consider sanding to remove any debris or adhesives remaining thoroughly.

Floor polishing isn’t technically necessary, but it will help your floors last longer and hold up better to scratches. Floor polish is a thin coating that fills in small abrasions on your floor and makes them less visible, and it can act as a protective covering that prevents future damage to the floor underneath. Floor polish helps protect against water and moisture, so it’s a great service if you want to extend the lifespan of your floors. Additionally, polish makes your floors shine, making your home look cleaner and more inviting.

Yes, you can polish an old cement floor. However, be aware that the first pass with the concrete grinder may reveal a few surprises and imperfections. You may also have to contend with the consequences of previous floor coverings, such as tile or carpet, which can leave a pattern in the concrete. Old concrete is more likely to produce uneven results if you want to use a dye or other coloring.

Before starting on a full refinishing project, determine if your floors need to be completely sanded down to the bare wood or if the damage is shallow and mostly cosmetic. Deep scratches and gouges will require you to rough sand using a drum sander or belt sander, but small surface scratches or floors that have only lost their luster don’t need a complete overhaul. Instead, you can skip the rough sanding step and sand-screen the old finish with a buffer, removing only the top layer of polyurethane.

Yes, but with caution. A floor grinder is intended to level and polish concrete, so it is a very powerful tool. To remove paint, the floor grinder should be set to 35 square feet per minute or less to minimize the pressure without the use of pocket weights. You might need to go over the surface two times to get any paint that has sunk into the concrete’s pores.
