"I felt like Thomas Potts did a great job grinding the stumps of two trees that had recently been cut down. He was friendly, professional, and timely. Mr. Potts communicated well prior to arriving so we knew when precisely when he would arrive, etc. The job was done efficiently and Mr. Potts chhecked on several occasions to make sure we were happy with the results along the way. The price was also very reasonable for the work done. I wouls defintely hire him again if needed."

"Foster's Tree & Landscaping was very professional during the process of removing 2 huge oak trees and a pecan tree. Roy and his team were easy to work with and kept me informed throughout the whole process. Their prices were fair and work was completed in a timely manner. My yard was left in great shape. I highly recommend Foster's Tree & Landscaping for all tree and landscaping needs."

"Molina's tree service did a fantastic job for us. Ethan showed up at the appointed time to do the estimate. The crew showed up a little early on the day they were scheduled to do the job. The crew was very friendly and responsive to anything I asked them to do. They removed two large oak trees using a crane to lift them over our house. They also removed several dead branches from other oak trees, some of which were quite large. And lastly they cleaned out about 15 to 20 smaller understory trees. They were careful not to damage my plants and shrubs, even though they had a very big job to do. All of this done with the utmost care and concern for the safety of the crew and our property. They not only cleaned up the debris caused by the work of the day, but they also cleaned up several piles of yard waste that had accumulated in the woods surrounding our property that had accumulated over the past few years. I would highly recommend Molina's tree service."

"They returned my phone call almost immediately and we scheduled an appointment. The owner showed up on time and I was impressed with his professional appearance and cleanliness of his truck and equipment. He took time to ask me questions about the stump I wanted removed and my plans for the ground afterwards. He gave me a very reasonable quote and removed the stump that day. He was as careful as possible with his equipment on my lawn and he did not leave a huge mess. I would definitely recommend them!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Unlike some fruit trees, such as apple, sweet cherry, or pear that require at least two trees for pollination, most peach trees are self-pollinating. This means you can plant just one tree and still expect it to produce fruit, typically within two to four years. For best results, consult with a local landscaper to choose the right peach tree variety for your specific climate, soil type, and yard layout.

No, you cannot throw branches from your neighbor’s tree back into their yard, nor can you discard leaves or other plant matter that originated from their yard back over there if it happens to land in your yard. You are responsible for cleaning up plant matter that made its way into your yard.

In general, trees should be planted no closer than 15 to 20 feet from your foundation. For larger trees with far-reaching roots like maples, oaks, or poplars, a good guide is to plant as many feet from your home as the tree’s height is expected to reach at maturity. Some trees, like elms and willows, should only be planted far from where their roots may encounter sewer or water lines.

A tree branch should start to form roots in about three months. It can take about a year for a tree branch to develop roots strong enough to go in the ground. For best results, start several branches because, no matter how closely you follow instructions, they won’t all form roots. Compost any that aren’t thriving.

A general rule is that trees need 10 gallons of water for each inch of the tree’s diameter. For large trees, that can amount to approximately 160 gallons of water or more. Watering big trees to this extent can take quite a bit of time using a hose. For this reason, you may consider installing a soaker hose or sprinkler system to make the job easier.
