"Fence Pros Direct did a wonderful job fencing our backyard! We recently bought a house after moving to RI from out of state, and moved in with our two pups. "I really wanted to like this company. I liked the owners; I liked that they were local, and I liked that they were a small, family-owned company. I did not like that the owners left for vacation the week that the majority of the work was to be done. I did not like that many of the wooden shingles were sanded, resulting in what looks like a poor paint job in many spots. I did not like that no one called to tell me about an upstairs windowsill that fell apart during prep. I had to call to ask about that, which prompted the employee (who admitted that he had considered the job done) to call the owner. I do like that the sill was repaired shortly thereafter--in fact, I like the carpentry work in general. I like that some of the shingles were replaced so that the paint job that I see every time I enter the house looks better. I don't like that many other parts of the house don't look so good. I also really, really, really don't like that the owners never showed up to look over the job with me. An appointment for such was scheduled, but no one showed. The checks I wrote were promptly cashed, though. I wish I had hung on to the last one until someone came to assess the job, but, alas, I did not. Bottom line: I will not use this company again, nor will I recommend them to others. (And I really wanted  to be able to do that!)

"Omar's crew showed up when expected and suggested a better/simpler lay-out than I was thinking, They completed the job in two sessions - posts. then mesh/finishing. I watched them work and they stayed at it all day working hard & making sure the post holes were the proper depth in my rocky soil. The 4ft black chain link looks nice and they did a good job of installing it with minimal gaps in the bottom along my uneven terrain. Price was reasonable, in line with the other quotes that I received. My only gripe (I would give another half star if I could) is while they did clean up after the job and took away debris they failed to rake away some small mesh, ties & post cut-off pieces. Not good for the mower so I ended up doing the raking myself. Overall still a nice job though."

"Derek was punctual, courteous, determined and patient.  Everything went "as expected" while he installed the mount to the wall, but when it came time to actually putting the tv onto the mount, he ran into a bit of a "snag".  I know this sounds like a simple task, but removing the tv stand from the tv was probably the hardest part of the install.
There was no obvious way to remove the stand, so after several minutes of both Derek and my brother-in-law doing everything conceivable to remove it, they asked if I still had the manual.  Of course I couldn't find it (even after almost 20 minutes of searching) but I did find the box (which had the model number on it).   So Derek took to the internet.  He searched the entire directory of the company to find out how to remove the stand from a decades old tv.  It was so old that he had to go into the company's archives to discover that in order to get to where the stand was attached to the tv, 3 layers of coverings had to be removed.  I am sure that this install took Derek much longer than he had bargained for, yet he remained pleasant and professional the entire time.
**When I first purchased this Big Deal, I figured the price to be a fair price based on the time and labor I thought the install probably would require.  But considering all the time that Derek was there and all of the effort he put in to ensuring I was a happy customer, I now rate both the price and the entire experience as EXCELLENT.

"This was the third major construction project that Glenn Grover and the team at North American Building completed for me over the last 10 years.  Glenn came right over to help me understand the process of working with the insurenace company and helped me limit the damage when the flooding began from the Ice Dam.  The water damaged impacted half of the first floor of my house and required replacing the entire ceiling in the living room and kitchen.  It also required replacing the plastered walls along the back of the house and replacing the insulation and mouldings.  There are two things that I have to note, first is that Glenn answers the phone and always follows up. He is always on time and never missed an appontment.  It may sound like simple things but nobody I have worked with is as responsive and professional as Glenn and his team.  Since they were repairing a home that they had renovate 5 years earlier it was all fixed and you could not tell that there had ever been damage. All work was done on time and on budget with no surprises.  
Prior Projects include:

• 1. There was also a 2nd floor addion to my home completed by North American Building.  This included removing the roof from 50% of the house and building a Master Bedroom Suite.  They completed the exterior to totally match the design and trim so that it looks like the original home and not a house that has been added to.  One very important note is that Glenn is a great designer and worked with us to create the plans and engineered some very creative soluitions to ensure open space using high tech materials to handle load on the second floor.  He also created the plans for the building inspector elimimnating the need and cost for and architect.  All work was completed on time and within budget.

2. They completed an a additon to a stand alone garage.  This included adding a 2 story third bay to the garage.  Glenn also used high tech materials to put the garage door on the side of the building and ensured our ability to use the second floor as a home office. All work was done on time and within budget.
