"Computer did the "gotta send info to Microsoft" but when tried to reboot it ran through automatic repair without success. I did all the alternative without any success. He came and picked up the hard drive on Tuesday and returned it on Saturday. Fortunately he was able to "restore" without any data loss. Very happy with outcome."

"Hired Joe for a project replacing all of the external outlets and weatherproof covers and 1 internal outlet. While at it his troubleshooting found a blown circuit was the cause for issues with the outdoor outlets not working and fixed it as well. Would hire Joe again for other projects."

"this was my first experience with using someone from angie's list, I did not realize the providers did not come with anything other than their tools.  once I got past that, Derek did a great job with the repairs ... more importantly, I would use him again

"I hired Jacob to finish a roughly 440 sq ft basement. The basement was completely bare bones upon his start. Within a matter of a few days, the whole entire basement was framed, sheet rocked AND plastered. In addition to framing and sheet rock, he installed vinyl plank flooring, mouldings and cased in a window. He did all the finish work to include sanding the plaster, wood putty and caulking the nail holes. To go along with finishing the basement, I asked him to perform a last minute job and install a fence in the middle of November where we had a span of nice weather. Without any hesitation, he showed up with an auger, dug the holes, and installed the fence in a matter of two days. The reason being two days was so the concrete could harden and settle properly. He was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Could answer any question you asked. If he didnâ t have the answer, he would use his own time after working all day to research the best possible answer for you. Reasonably priced and an honest man to go along with being an Army veteran. I am proud to support a Veteran owned small business."

Window Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

Many windows carry warranties from the manufacturer or installer that may cover the cost of repairs for a fixed amount of time. When installing or replacing windows, ask about any applicable warranties, what kinds of damage and repair they may cover, and what the procedure is for making a warranty claim.

Window repairs cost $175 to $615, depending on the type of repair. Because double-hung windows have two sashes and multiple pieces of hardware, like locks and handles, there are many parts that can break over time. Repairing locks, latches, or other hardware costs about $75 to $200 and is easy to DIY. Fixing one or multiple sashes costs about $200 to $600.

The most affordable way to screen in a porch is to add a base track system to an existing wooden frame. The whole process should cost around $2,000 for supplies, depending on the size of your porch. It’s much pricier to build a screened-in porch or sunroom from scratch—and you’ll probably need to hire a contractor for a project like that.

Screen doors have a positive ROI because of their safety features. They add protection from debris, critters, and, depending on the material, even heat. However, storm doors are better than screen doors when it comes to overall protection.

Window screen repair costs an average of $310, with a typical range of $100 to $480. The final price depends on several factors, including the window size, accessibility, screen type, whether the frame needs replacement, and especially the screen material.

The cost of window screen materials varies widely based on durability and features:

  • Fiberglass: $35–$200

  • Aluminum: $50–$300

  • Copper: $90–$850

  • Stainless Steel: $45–$400

  • Brass: $100–$900

  • Solar: $55–$850

  • Security: $100–$1,000

  • Vinyl: $25–$120

Costs also differ by screen type. For instance, a prefabricated screen might cost only $40, moveable screens typically run $25 to $75, and retractable screens range from $300 to $900. To save money, you can choose more affordable materials like vinyl or fiberglass, opt to rescreen instead of replacing the entire frame, and have multiple screens repaired at once to reduce labor costs.
