"Chimney experts was very professional in both scheduling and the job. Al was very thorough to not only look at the chimney, but also to stay with me until we had fully built a fire and had it burning long enough to run a full test of the appliance. Would highly suggest for inspection and installation- they know the business well."

"We had problems with scheduling. They rescheduled our first appointment but came at the original time and we were not home. So they had to call again and the next scheduled appointment ended up being wrong again too. Thank goodness we were home because Ryan and Joey did a fabulous job! They inspected our 30+â brick chimney, that had never been looked at in its 15 years of existence, and found multiple issues. They took multiple pictures to show us what was going on way up on the top of our chimney that was affecting the bricks below. We were very happy to have them complete the work and even gave us a warranty on their work. Another good point is that they came up to Western Massachusetts! We highly recommend them!"

Customers say: Quick response

"We hired John and his crew to install our interior brick kitchen floor. Although there were some trial and error moments with the installation, these were purely because we chose a certain type of refurbished brick that was much thinner than standard brick pavers. John was definitely up to the task and couldn't have been more communicative and accommodating - always having our best interest in mind."

"The installers were good. They didn't do a sample fire though. This would have caught a stuck damper. Jay came out and realized right away what the issue was. He started a fire to test the draft. All was good. It did take several phone calls to get a technician to come out which was a shame Their staff that come out are very professional and helpful."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, a chimney damper is necessary. It controls airflow in and out of your fireplace, helping to retain heat when closed and allowing smoke to escape when open. Without a damper, your home could lose warmth during cold months, leading to higher energy bills. It also helps prevent downdrafts and keeps animals or debris from entering the chimney. In short, it’s essential for efficiency and safety.

Disposable fire extinguishers are good for anywhere from 10 to 12 years, but check the documentation that accompanied your specific model to make sure. Additionally, there are rechargeable models out there that last 12 to 20 years, but they require a professional inspection every six years.

EIFS has several disadvantages, primarily related to cost and moisture. The system tends to have higher upfront installation costs compared to other siding options, and repairs can also be expensive, especially if water damage occurs. A significant downside is its low breathability, which can trap moisture between its layers from either leakage or condensation. This trapped moisture increases the risk of developing mold and rot, which can lead to costly and extensive repairs if not addressed promptly.

Yes, splicing wires can cause a fire if the splicing is done incorrectly. This is why splicing wires is a task best handled by electricians. One of the most common mistakes made when splicing wires is not using a wire connector. Without a wire connector, electricity flows unsheathed and can result in a home electrical fire.

Yes, a hot or overheating outlet is a fire hazard and can cause a fire. An outlet becoming hot indicates an electrical problem, such as an overloaded circuit, loose connections, or a faulty component. The heat from these issues can ignite nearby flammable materials like curtains or furniture. If you notice an outlet is hot to the touch, turn off the power at the circuit breaker, unplug any connected devices, and consult a qualified electrician. If a fire does start, use a Class C fire extinguisher or baking soda to suppress it, or evacuate immediately and call the fire department.
