Lowe’s Air Duct Cleaning

After Lowe's came to clean the dyer vents at my condo building, my dryer was no longer venting. I contacted them and initially they said they would send someone to check the vent. They then called back and said my vent was never clean because it was disconnected and they could not help me. This was strange because the dryer was working fine before they came. Also, in my trash there was foil tape that you would wrap around the vent. This made me think that they did try to clean the vent despite saying they did nothing. I contacted my management company who said there were never any previous issues with my vent. I called Lowe's back and told them this and they still insisted that they never touched it but would check with the technician. I looked into it my self and found that in the section of the vent between the dryer and the ceiling there was a mass of lint the size of a small animal (see the picture). It was so large that moisture from the dryer had also built up and flooded the bottom of the vent hose. The building manager was then able to clear another mass of lint from the section of the vent in the ceiling and the dryer then started venting to the outside. It was never disconnected like Lowe's said. It seems they started cleaning it and just jammed the dust all the way back to the dryer. Why they didn't finish removing it is a mystery. If they ever service my building again, I will refuse.

The day of service, the technician arrived on time and explained the work to be done and eventually his findings. He was very polite, professional and knowledgeable. He also gave us tips on how to better maintain the system for improved performance. Overall, excellent service. We highly recommend then and we will definitely use them again

Hi, I have gotten duct work cleaning done in the past, and I would say they were average. The person who came to visit was on his phone most of the time, he didn't remove most of the inlet grills to do the cleaning. He used his cleaning gadget over the grills, which why I question the effectiveness of cleaning. And compared to my previous cleaning experiences, it was much shorter than I anticipated. Considering their attention to detail, and time spent on the job, I wouldn't hire them again. Price and communication was good, didn't have any issues there.

Communication was great with this company . I was given a 2 hr window of time of when they would arrive. Bruno even called to let me know that he would be arriving closer to the end of that window which allowed me to run out to do an errand. He the arrived at the time he indicated. He was very polite and explained things clearly. He asked it I had any questions. He didn’t try to do any unnecessary work and the work was done quickly. I would definitely recommend this company.

I was very pleased with the service completed by Bruno. He called ahead of time to let me know when he would be arriving. When it conflicted with the time I pick up my son from school, he worked around it. He was friendly, took off his shoes as he entered my home, and explained the process to me. As he cleaned from the outside of the house, he continued to explain what he was doing and what he was finding. He discovered that the grate cover was placed over the incorrect vent (bathroom vent) and made the switch for me. As a result of a missing grate, we had a bird's nest clogging up the vent, along with years of lint build up. The cleaning took about half an hour. I learned more about the fire hazard of not cleaning out the dryer vent on a regular basis. I am now sharing this information with everyone. This company was able to schedule an appointment within two days while other companies had a much longer waiting list.

Very well: the ducts were filled with dust, dirt, and construction debris and now they are clean and shown to be so with their air duct camera. The technician was friendly, professional, and knowledgable. I'd highly recommend hiring them right after buying a house, especially if it is new construction. Also, if you have new filters on hand, they will install them for you after they are done. They have transparent pricing, you can pay online in advance, and I received a discount for doing so in April.

Prompt service, clear explanation of the work that was done. We bought a condo and had no idea if or when the ducts were last cleaned, but my husband and I both had an uptick in allergies after moving in so we thought duct cleaning was worth a try. It seems to have helped.

Everything was smooth and professional with one minor exception. The vents were all cleaned as promised. Photos were taken to show us. Everything was explained well. All questions were politely and thoroughly answered. Lowe's sent one man and he did have big equipment to carry upstairs. On one trip up the stairs the employee nicked the wall, but it was minor - we were having someone come to spot paint anyway.

The technician was efficient and cleaned up after the job.
