"On 10.23.23 I hired Shamrock Chimney, address, 3 Mountain St. E, Worcester, MA, 01606, telephone: 508.433.0609, to clean my chimney; upon inspection of the chimney, I was told that the cement crown was damaged and needed replacement, as well as resetting loose bricks at the top of the chimney. The total cost for this work was $1,500.00. This work came with a Lifetime warranty on the 2 steel rain caps, and a 5-year warranty on the masonry. On Feb. 10, 2024, I called Shamrock Chimney and told them that the caps were moving out of place on top of the chimney, tilting as they might be ready to fall off. I told Shamrock's representative that I was fearful that the caps could fall down damaging my roof and cars, or injuring someone walking into my house on the walkway below. Shamrock told me that someone would be out to ensure that the caps were properly secured - however no one from Shamrock came out. After nearly 2 months with no response from Shamrock, on April 4, 2024, I called Shamrock"

We were promised several additional deadlines and that work would be done with no results. He claimed because he had to fire several people and finding help was difficult that it was putting him behind. Meanwhile when I met up with him, he showed me pictures of other patio projects he had accomplished instead of ours. The final part of this review is Rich promised to send a refund from Riverhead Supply that he had received in error to us which has, to no surprise, not materialized. I do not recommend hiring him."

Needless to say, he never attempted to do the project. I confronted him via text message in October that I wanted my deposit back. He apologized stating that he had to fire a bunch of people (sound familiar to anyone?) and had run into some personal problems. He promised to refund my deposit. When he failed to keep his commitment, I notified him that I was going to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office, he did not bother to respond. I filed the complaint. I hired him because he had 5 stars on Angie. I don't understand how this rating was possible. I strongly advise seeking a different contractor."
