Rich Peavey Masonry and Chimney Serv

We hired Rich in the beginning of May to put in a patio in our backyard. He wrote up the contract promising the patio would be in before the fourth of July. That deadline came and went and no patio. We were promised several additional deadlines and that work would be done with no results. He claimed because he had to fire several people and finding help was difficult that it was putting him behind. Meanwhile when I met up with him, he showed me pictures of other patio projects he had accomplished instead of ours. The final part of this review is Rich promised to send a refund from Riverhead Supply that he had received in error to us which has, to no surprise, not materialized. I do not recommend hiring him.

Folks reading this need to go to the Home Adviser site and read the Reviews there. I hired Rich in April 25 to demolish and rebuild my cement front stairs. He said in the contract that the work was to be completed by the end of May. Needless to say, he never did the work despite numerous promises to do it I confronted him in October and demanded my deposit back. He stated that he had to fire a bunch of people and had experienced some personal problems. He said that he would refund my deposit. When the deadline passed, I notified him that I intended to file a complaint with the Attorney General Office. He did not bother to respond. I filed the complaint. I hired Rich because of his favorable rating on Angie. I cannot conceive as to how it is possible that he attained that rating. Check out the other site and see what you think. I strongly recommend that you seek a different contractor.

Rich is very honest in what needs to get done and does not try to nickel and dime you. He is very busy and that does sometimes cause a bit time before he gets back to you if you have questions. He does a good job.

Went very well and completed in a timely fashion. Would definitely hire them again and recommend to friends!

We were incredibly impressed with Rich Pivey Chimney and Masonry Co. They arrived promptly on time and began a comprehensive inspection on the chimney . They explained exactly what needed to be done and what damage needed to be corrected . They were friendly, knowledgeable and answered all our questions . We called a few other company’s and immediately said $how much to even come out and look at our chimney, when we called Rich Peavey Chimney Sweep an appointment was set and he told us he would give us a price after looking at our chimney. Which made much more sense than quoting a price thousands of dollars before even looking at my chimney ! By far he was the cheapest and his work was impeccable! I would recommend this company above all the rest .

We had a large chimney in need of pointing and a second with a crack through it in need of repair. Talking with Rich it was clear he was experienced and knew his craft well. He and his crew did a beautiful job, we couldn't be more satisfied. Highly recommend.
