"I appreciate your feedback. I was hired to simply remove failing bluestone treads, and mortar them back on. The problem was that the rest of the stairs fell apart while trying to address the problem. This was impossible to plan for. There's no way ahead of time to have known that the veneer stone was all going to fall off. I do understand the frustration of a project costing more. But I called you in the morning of the first day to tell you what was going on. You agreed that you wanted it done. I'm sorry that you are having regrets now."
"I would like to first start off by saying I'm sorry that you were not happy with the work, but all the things you are complaining about, you actually never paid me to do. For example, the arch that you complained about me not cementing in...you actually never paid for that. You bought it after the fact, and then asked if I wouldn't mind installing it for you. I did that at no cost to you, but I was not prepared with concrete to install it the day you supplied it. As for the lawn, it actually came in AWESOME that first year. I don't maintain the lawns afterwards. And lastly, the sprinkler situation. I am very disappointed in this review because I went above the call of duty in trying to set up your sprinklers. First of all, this was not an in-ground sprinkler system, and second of all, nowhere in my contracts does it say that I will help the homeowner set up sprinklers. But because I am a good businessman, I went out and bought and installed several sprinklers, hoses, and timers. You called me the next day and said that the 3rd one was not coming on. I directed you o how to use the 'easy to use' timer, but you expressed you could not. So I drove 45 minutes up there to look. Nothing was wrong, but I sat up there and tried to figure it out anyways. Then another day later you said the same thing happened. So here I am, driving another 45 minutes to try and diagnose. So now I have put in several hours of time that I never got paid for or agreed originally to do. After my 4th trip up there, I said screw this, I'm going to sit up here for 2 hours and watch the sprinklers myself. It turned out that you had a SHALLOW well, and that's why the sprinklers would not work. But I STILL went back 2 more times to play around with delays and timing to make it work for you. None of that I was paid for, and now you write a bad review about it? Makes me never want to do a nice thing for anyone ever again. Congratulations"
"Good day [Member Name Removed]. I see that you have left a review on another platform. I don't want to get into this again. You're telling a story that doesn't exist. I'm not sure what you have against me or my company, but the job I gave you was excellent, and thorough as all of my projects. You agreed when the work was done, and handed me a check as we looked at the completed project together. You were not treated poorly when you reached out. You demanded I give you your money back in a lengthy piece of mail. I offered to come and look, and you said you just wanted your money back. I saw nothing wrong with the craftsmanship and told you that. You then proceeded to report the job to the Contractor's Board. They went out and investigated, and told you the same thing I told you..."nothing was wrong". Now you're out here trying to smear my name with false and negative reviews because you didn't get whatever it was you were looking for. I don't understand why, but the Contractor's Board did tell me that this is the 3rd complaint with contractors you have had in as little as the same amount of years. If I had to guess, you are just trying to get free work done. Either way, I'm not sure what more I could've done for you, other than do the job for free"
