He was here until after midnight, trying everything he could. Unfortunately, we had to resort to calling the city for assistance at the sewer. "I had the estimate for the work done which went fine, then called to book the appointment. Was required to put down $200 for the $650 projected repair cost. I did this thinking there would be no issues between then and the repair date. My wife is quite pregnant and we had to move up the repair date to get the nursery ready in time for their birth. (twins) When I called to cancel this appointment and seek a refund of the $200, I was told that the window to cancel was 3 days from the scheduling and that I was forfeit my deposit. This information is in the contract, but I did not catch it at the time. I could only imagine if this were a bigger project and something like this happened to someone else. For the cost of $200 Pioneer Basement has not only lost me as a future customer, but forced my hand in posting several poor reviews such as this one. For any future customers, pay very close attention to this and hope "life" doesn't happen to you in between. Good luck."

Because of this, we were too spooked to hire another “con”tracor and decided to try a service with a good reputation and warranty. I can not recommend ACE more highly. Our “handyman" Juan was skilled and super knowledgable with the HUGE project he was thrown into. He was on time, efficient and just a joy to deal with! By himself, Juan cleaned up the prior demo area, properly sealed the shower, installed a new shower bench/curbs and repaired the wall…he did everything but the painting, which we took care of. What a worker! Thank you so much Juan and ACE Handyman Services. We will certainly be working with you again!"
