"Josh and his team installed a tankless hot water system into my new home. Josh was always super responsive, showed up on time and performed quality work. There was a small issue with a line in our house and he came out immediately to resolve it. Also had his team install two new toilets to our house. Highly recommend him and his team."

"From customer service to installation I couldn’t be happier. My house was built in 1745 so I was concerned with having an old basement. I needn’t have worried. Very professional. Answered all my questions in detail. If you need a water filtration system I wouldn’t hesitate calling clear water pump and well services."

"I am extremely pleased with my experience with this company. When I say that they made me feel like I was their only customer, I mean it- no exaggeration. From the first phone call to the finished work, everyone I dealt with was very helpful and communicated (and followed through) everything very well. John Lemme came out on the earlier side of the time window I was given, and after his assessment, gave me a clear idea of what was going on, and what would be needed to fix it. Besides this, he was very friendly and professional. He stated that he'd have a crew out in a couple hours to begin work and, sure enough, they arrived in a couple hours. When they arrived, I asked about how long the work would take, and they said 2 hours or less, and again, they achieved that. They left the work areas clean, and I went from having little to no water at times to having it back to normal. On the financial side, looking at the age of the previous pump, there was a big question of whether it would be covered by warranty, and the company worked with their supplier to end up having the new one covered! I was incredibly surprised, and only had to pay for labor. Clearly this company has very high regard for their customers, and they've just earned any of my future business."

"The job was done in a clean, efficient manner. The technician was courteous and professional. Explained the work that was done, gave advice on future maintenance, and gave me a brochure about the system installed and warranty. I intend to use them again in the future.

"Kyle and his partner Derek were extremely professional and efficient. They found time to replace our boiler in an emergency situation despite being fully booked. They capped the pipe and replaced the water tank the next day! They cleaned the workspace and were organized and effective. I wholeheartedly recommend them!"

Water Softeners questions, answered by experts

Softened water prevents scale deposits, reducing appliance wear, leading to energy savings and longer-lasting household fixtures.

Generally, it is safe to bathe in yellow water, as the color is often caused by iron, tannins, or rust, which won't harm your skin. Soap will still clean you effectively, though the water might leave stains. However, if the water has an unusual smell or you suspect contamination, avoid bathing and contact a plumber for an inspection. A professional can also help if you find bathing in yellow water problematic and want to determine how to get your water clear again.

You can decide whether you need a water softener or water filter based on how your bathing or laundry experience is. If you notice issues like limescale buildup, dry skin, or stains on dishes—all telltale signs of hard water—you'd likely benefit from a water softener. However, if your main concern is over chemicals or bacteria in your tap water filter, and not just comfort, a filter is a better option.

Because it’s been through the water cycle, evaporating and becoming slightly acidic thanks to dissolved carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, rainwater tends to be naturally soft compared to groundwater, which has just been in contact with limestone. However, the natural hardness level of water always depends on where you are and other factors.

No. You should never directly drain a water softener into a sewer cleanout. This practice is illegal in many areas because it could allow raw sewage to get into your drinking water and make you seriously ill. Many places have codes requiring a specific seal, pipe, and a large air gap between a water softener and a sewage cleanout. Check out Florida's Plumbing Building Code as an example of what these restrictions might look like.
