Small jobs welcome

"Corey's team left us with a wonderful kitchen, bath and new floors. Our project grew from 3 items: remove an old gas fireplace, kitchen, and floors to include a bathroom and main closet. We were under a tight deadline and he brought in a great team and completed in the 3 weeks we need the job done. His team are not only professional at what they do but also reliable and dependable. Corey worked with us on design decisions and where we didn't have a source for materials he always had a supplier or another team to add to the project. Thanks Corey!"

Residential Design questions, answered by experts

Mid-century modern design focused primarily on two things: simple, functional furniture, often with geometric shapes, and specific color palettes that included earth tones and what we’d today call retro colors. Furniture often blended different materials, like teak or oak wood, with vinyl, metal, and glass. Common mid-century modern paint colors included browns, reds, burnt oranges, yellows, aqua greens, and whites.

Hiring a high-quality interior decorator should always start with reading through online reviews to see the kind of experience other homeowners have had. You can narrow down your search and then ask the remaining companies for references and examples of their past work. It’s during this stage that you’re likely to find a company that suits your specific tastes and one that has experience with the style you want to bring into your home. You should consider calling references to ask about the process and the homeowners’ experiences with the decorator before, during, and after service.

Key trends include home gyms, theatre rooms, additional rooms (bedroom/office), and more, with personalized styles reflecting individual preferences.

Most interior designers have at least a four-year degree, if not an advanced degree in interior design. Additionally, many states require interior designers to be licensed. If your state does not require licensing, interior designers can take a licensing exam with the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). Overall, licensing requirements vary from state to state, but most licenses require certain education levels and experience to qualify. To check the qualifications of your interior designer, use Angi’s state licensing tool.

A Jack and Jill bathroom is not considered an en suite bathroom. An en suite bathroom is a private bathroom connected to one room, like a primary bedroom. A Jack and Jill bathroom connects two rooms and has two entrances, so it’s not entirely private.
