Justin at Single Source is extremely knowledgable on building codes and because of that, he was able to show the codes to the insurance company to get the upgrades covered. Their roofing team worked from the moment they arrived with one short lunch break working almost 12 hours. They completed the entire job in one day and my roof is 2,000 square feet, so it's a sizable roof. The team was very careful to protect my gardens, they moved plants, lawn furniture and put everything back they in place before they left. The clean up was impeccable! "i have been acting as an agent/advocate for my mom who is 87. she had a roof installed which has had numerous leaks. 2 in garage (now taken care of) where solar lines go through to roof panels.; 1 from improperly sealed window (also ok now) leaking into 3 season porch, causing water damage; 1 around improperly flashed chimney (paid another company $1800 to repair), and now, another one where roof meets vertical end wall of house (leaking into 2nd floor ceiling and down wall into kitchen). Have been calling company for OVER A MONTH and still have not gotten any help from them. They DO NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS!!! Customer service (Ashley and Ryan) have both "left messages for Jesse" as well as "reaching out to him personally". I now have left messages on his cell, and WILL BE FILING COMPLAINT WITH BBB, Office of Elderly Affairs, AG, and State Board of Licensing!! ****STAY AWAY*** ***READ REVIEWS*** (here AND on other sites!!)"

You can insulate an existing garage door. But while it’s a cost-effective option upfront, it may not perform as well as a garage door that comes with insulation. If you live in a colder climate—or if you plan on working in your garage and need a new door—you should purchase one with existing insulation for better efficiency. 

Each of the three types of wool insulation has particular disadvantages. While their R-value is higher, they all cost more than fiberglass versions. Installing mineral wool and sheep wool requires protective gear. Because of its vulnerability to insects, chemicals are used in its production. Hemp wool is more costly to install than other types because additional tools and labor are involved.

Asphalt roofs provide better insulation than metal roofs, but that doesn’t always mean that asphalt roofs are better for reducing heating and cooling bills. In hotter climates, metal roofs will usually be better for home efficiency because the material reflects more sunlight and reduces solar heat gain. In colder climates, asphalt roofs are sometimes superior in terms of efficiency because they introduce more solar heat gain to your home and have greater insulating capabilities. However, metal roofs installed with an air gap can provide similar levels of insulation.

Water heater blanket prices range from $20 to $40 on average, though you typically won’t need to spend more than $30 for all the tools and materials required for installation—which include the blanket itself, heavy-duty scissors, and electrical tape. Blankets with higher R-values will also be slightly higher in price.

Drywall insulation costs around $1,800, on average, but prices can range from $500 to $4,500, depending on a few different factors. The following things are important considerations to make when pricing out your insulation project:
