"Beware of shipping issues with this company. Ordered an ice maker installation kit on 10/10/25. Shipping was due no later than 10/20 according to company and FedEx tracking. FedEx tracking showed the package at their facility for 8 days without moving beginning on 10/15. Called FedEx 3 times. Each time they said they cannot find package and I have to contact shipper. Shipper has to make a claim, they will not mark it as lost. Called Appliance Parts Pros twice. Each time they say FedEx has to mark package lost before they will do anything. They also state they have to wait 14 days from them before doing anything because of their contract with FedEx. I don't care about their contract, I want what was ordered and paid for. Just going in circles with them and FedEX. If they shipped after 14 days it would be 22 days from that point, 32 days from the date of order if they shipped it that day. There was a deadline for installing this part before tenants arrive. They did not care, would not m"

"American Custom Contractors did an outstanding job replacing the roof, woodwork, trim, and gutters on our historic 1910 home. The ACC work crews, including carpenters, roofers, and gutter specialists, were highly skilled and experienced. Yanni Agouridis, our project consultant, was extremely helpful in working out the details of the engagement at the outset. Blase Skully, project supervisor and quality assurance manager, was always available to answer many questions and provide advice as we refined the scope of work and the project progressed. He made sure they delivered exactly what we were seeking to accomplish. Blase was also sensitive to ensuring that the historic look of the house was maintained and enhanced by the materials they used and the work they did. The result is beautiful. We get many complements on our new roof and gutters. We highly recommend American Custom Contractors."

We are a family owned company serving Franklin & Cumberland counties since 2006. We offer installation, repair and maintenance of heating and A/C systems. New Homes, Old Homes, Difficult Spaces, Construction Sites, and even Commercial Jobs. We service all brands. Give us a call today!

"Contacted Angie's list on Sunday looking for HVAC service as my central air stopped working. I was given a list of four businesses. Within minutes two of the companies contacted me. The first being Wadel's HVAC. I emailed Jennifer at Wadel's to inform her of my problem, she informed me that they could have someone out the next day. Jennifer said she could have someone at my house around 1 pm. Ten minutes to one Jason contacted me said he was on his way. He showed up at ten after one. After checking outside unit and finding nothing wrong he proceeded inside to check the inside unit to discover that the blower motor capacitor was bad. He replaced it and everything was working again. Jason then checked the system to make sure there were no other issues. By 1:58 pm Jason had left and we were with AC again. I can't adequately express how pleased I was with Jennifer and Jason professionalism. While I hope I am not in need of their services any time soon. When the need arises that I need service on my HVAC system I'll be calling Wadel's HVAC. I have already spoken of my experience with Wadel's HVAC to several of my colleagues at work. Thank you for everything."

2008 years of experience

Appliancezone.com is a leading on-line retailer of appliance parts and accessories for do-it-yourself homeowners. Incorporated in 2008, it was started by CEO, Jim Allen and his wife Paula, who operated an appliance repair business for nearly fourteen years prior to starting the internet company Appliance Zone.

"This is the first online review I've ever written -- my experience with this company was that bad. Three aspects that deserve attention: 1) I placed an order and tried to cancel six minutes later. Turns out they don't accept cancellations. 2) I couldn't find a phone number, so I had to work the return/refund by email. The exchange was painful -- so unhelpful I felt like I was interacting with a bad chatbot. 3) I ended up eating shipping costs (expected) and got hit for a 50% restocking fee (unexpected) because I refused the package instead of paying to ship it back. Didn't matter that it went to the correct address, was clearly labeled, and had prior return authorization. So I ended up with a $21 refund on a $60 order, and a lesson learned about where not to buy appliance parts."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

AC leaks are common, and an HVAC pro can usually fix them. You may be able to resolve some leaks on your own, but a professional HVAC technician should handle most AC leak repair. If left ignored, an AC leak could cause serious damage to your system or leave you with expensive water damage, usually leading to more costly repairs or replacements.

No, it isn’t necessarily bad to turn your AC on and off frequently—contrary to popular belief. Even if you stop and start your AC throughout the day, it won’t use as much energy as it would if you ran it nonstop.

If you’re concerned about your power consumption and energy costs, there are a few simple ways to use your AC more efficiently. Regularly cleaning the filters, scheduling routine maintenance, and using a programmable thermostat are all great choices.

One of the fastest ways to unfreeze an AC unit is to turn off the unit and, if it’s warm outside, use the fan-only mode to help blow warmer air through the unit to speed up the defrosting process. While it may be tempting to use a hair dryer to defrost the air conditioner, that high heat can damage the coils.

After defrosting, if you can safely solve the issue with a fix like changing the filter, go ahead and do so. Otherwise, call in a pro before turning your AC back on.

Yes, AC coil cleaning is definitely worth it. Cleaning your AC coils ensures your AC unit will function efficiently for the long term. Dirty and grimy AC coils make your unit work harder to cool your home, resulting in higher electric bills. Additionally, having your coils professionally cleaned regularly will reduce the possibility of extensive maintenance and repair costs.

Mini-split air conditioners are less expensive to run than central air and are considerably more energy efficient. You can run the heating or cooling units in individual rooms and turn off the units in the rooms you aren’t using. This method allows you to save about 30% off your energy bill compared to a ducted system.
