They worked quickly and efficiently especially with me having a little one running around. I would highly recommend them to anyone. "Holtzople installed a geothermal system in 2013 to replace our heating oil furnace and electric air conditioning unit. Boy did that cut our heating and cooling bill way down! This review is about the recent semi-annual service maintenance visit. Shout out to Kevin the technician who is friendly, professional and focused. He gets right down to business and is quiet as a mouse as he thoroughly goes through the extensive maintenance checklist and performs all required tasks. He then takes the time to fully brief us on what he did what he found and what if anything he recommends. He then opens it up for questions and is very patient and thorough in answereing any questions we might have. Hint: he's also an expert on anything Disney World if you might be thinking about visiting there.... We highly recommend Holtzople, a great company, because they really do take care of us."

McCrea is a family owned business that has served our area since 1936. Financing and rebates are available on Trane systems installed by McCrea. Resistrictions apply and these are limited time offers call for details. "Its hard to stop a Trane"

"We bought a new construction and McCrea installed the HVAC. Home inspection identified the heat pump was not working in Oct. 2020. McCrea identified it was due to leaking refrigerants and promise fixed the issue. Our electric bill was extremely high the following two months and the heat pump was not cooling in Spring 2021. McCrea sent technician and again repaired the system. Bought their maintenance plan. We had 4+ repairs plus regular tune up in the past two years. Last week the heat pump stopped cooling again. We are out of labor warranty and charge us with $89 diagnostic cost after membership discount. It took three days for them to send someone to check while we suffering 90F in our house. They identified the compressor dead and need replacement. They charge $1900 for labor after membership discount. Most likely cause of the compressor failure is "suicide" with assistance. Low refrigerant at beginning and over change in later repairs likely contributed the short life."

Zoned HVAC systems can be worth it for some homeowners, even with the added HVAC replacement costs, because they offer tremendous benefits. Zoned HVAC may offer greater stability and efficiency if your home has multiple levels and experiences constant temperature fluctuations. However, even smaller homes without major fluctuations can benefit since zoned HVAC systems can adjust their temperature more quickly by heating and cooling only the spaces you need.

There are a few reasons your AC is running but not cooling your room. Thermostat issues and dust and debris, which can clog your system, are common problems. It could also be a broken component, such as a compressor, blower fan, or evaporator coils. You’ll need to call a pro to diagnose the issue.

Here’s how AC professionals will clean your AC coils:

  1. Unplug the AC unit or turn off the breaker to the unit in your circuit breaker box.

  2. Remove the faceplate.

  3. Spray a vacuum hose attachment or compressed air can to remove debris, dust, dirt, and grime.

  4. Use a soft-bristled fin comb to remove stubborn caked-on debris.

  5. Use the vacuum hose to suck up any extra debris.

  6. Take a coil-safe cleaning solution and spray it onto the coils. Try to choose a no-rinse solution.

  7. Let the solution sit for at least 15 minutes.

  8. Gently wipe away loosened grime and debris with a microfiber cloth.

  9. Reattach the faceplate, plug in your AC system, or turn the breaker back on.
