"I felt they went above and beyond because they had to get up on a steep roof. They said my roof was in good shape and there was no need to caulk arounf the chimney flashing. They gave me positive advice. They were prompt and cleaned up well."

"Joe Storione provided us with a lot of good advice to guide us in choosing our leaded glass front door, a very important purchase. He put us in touch with the supplier so we could visit the factory and see the glass doors themselves, not just small samples. He sent the installer to measure our door which required a special order in a custom size. He kept us informed of the progress of our order all along the way. The door was delivered a week earlier than promised and the installation went very smoothly. The installers showed up on time and were very courteous and professional. The project was completed the same day in about four hours including the installation of the wood trim and molding. The installers took away the old door and sidelites and all of the packing material and left our house spotless. I had purchased windows from Earth Smart last year and was very pleased so I did not hesitate to use them for our front door project.

"They did a wonderful job in fixing and repainting my ceiling areas that others had made a mess of. They came 4 times to make sure that there was enough time in between for the spackle to fully set. They're very busy, sometimes it was difficult to get them here but it was well worth the wait. I highly recommend."

"When we picked up the glass yesterday evening, we noticed one of them was wrong size (the glass was less half size of our table).
They came in today and measured the table again.
Mistakes happens.   They acknowledge it and move on remediating it.  Great company

"We replaced the windows in our 1933 home through the services of MadCity Windows. From the initial contact with their sales representative to final installation, the company provided top notch professional work. With the draft from the old windows and the cold of the glass, we are already saving on our energy bills. Our house had old, large windows, so they had to be custom made. As an industrial designer and interior designer, we find our windows to be of excellent quality."

"We are overall pleased with the install. However, the guys who installed them left broken glass on my bedroom door that I stepped on. Also, the caulk around the outside could have been smoothed out. Other than that, it was all good."

Glaziers questions, answered by experts

Hard water stains are caused by hard water. Hard water contains a lot of minerals, like calcium and magnesium. When water on your glass surfaces dries out, the minerals stay behind and stick to the glass. This results in a residue that looks like white cloudy or streaky spots. Call a pro to install a water softener to banish hard water problems.

Once you’ve gotten any scuff marks, grime, and burn marks off your glass stovetop you can use vinegar to finalize the clean without leaving streaks. Just put some white vinegar in a spray bottle and spritz it onto the stovetop before wiping it in a consistent direction with a microfiber cloth.

For small, non-pressure-related cracks, you can fix them using two-part epoxy. This spares you the cost and hassle of replacing the glass. Simply clean the surface and remove any debris or dirt, wait for the glass to dry, then spread an even layer of mixed epoxy solution over the crack. You can use a putty knife or rubber spatula to push the epoxy into the crack.

The easiest way for DIYers to smooth the edges of cut glass is to use sandpaper. Wearing protective gloves, gently sand the sharp edges smooth using low-grit sandpaper and working up to high-grit sandpaper. You can also use a multitool with a rotating sandpaper cylinder to make quicker work of the project.

You should dust your mirrors once every one to two weeks as a part of your normal cleaning routine, and you should plan on cleaning with a glass cleaner or DIY cleaning solution once a month or so. This will help reduce the buildup of hygiene products like hair spray on the mirror, as well as oils and dirt from fingers. You can always spot-clean between regular cleanings if you notice your mirror getting dirty or smudged.
