Alderfer Glass Co.

My handyman recommended Aldefer glass as I need to replace the glass in my shower since it was an unusual size. When they were here to measure they mentioned they also could replace my kitchen windows. I was excited, one stop shopping. Well it’s two different departments... They had to come back and remeasure the windows, Another 2 week wait. They would not order until I gave them a 50% deposit (which is OK). They told me it would be 2 wks to get the glass then approx 2 weeks to install. I had to call numerous times to see if windows had arrived and schedule install. Bottomline my 4 wk anticipated install was over 2 months, then the middle glass in the tempered shower shattered during install ( 2 phone calls and 4 Additional weeks later shower complete). Kitchen windows still not right. Flys keep getting stuck between window and screen so I can’t open 2 of 6 windows in my kitchen. Terrible customer service. I have several more windows that I need to replace, they will not get my business. Truly awful experience.

Glass ordered and will schedule installation when it arrives.

Team arrived on time. Did the work we agreed on. This is the second time we worked with the company and they are responsive and professional.

The work was done professionally and clean. Not one complaint from beginning to end. Fit and finish was excellent and explanation of care was explained very well. Highly recommend.

Shopped online, both big box chains, and Alderfer’s showroom. Paid more with Alderfer’s but helpful insight and having them come out to measure before ordering was worth it. Installation was on time and professionally done. Spoke with 6 people (office & installers) during the process & each one was pleasant and seemed genuinely interested in me being completely satisfied with my choices and options.

They were great, did a large complex commercial job with new frame and storefront glass to architect's specs I would recommend highly.

Very professional and nice people to deal with. He actually came out on Friday but the new windshield had a scratch so he needed to go back and gt another. He was going to actually come back again that day. Told him not necessary so he came Monday.

When we picked up the glass yesterday evening, we noticed one of them was wrong size (the glass was less half size of our table). 
They came in today and measured the table again.
Mistakes happens.   They acknowledge it and move on remediating it.  Great company

From the start when they came out for the estimate everything went very smooth. There was good communion with office over scheduling and any questions we had. It was installed in the time frame which they told us. The installer was very professional and he took his time and the glass looks wonderful. He explained how to care for the enclosure and told us to call if we had any problems in the future .This was a seamless installation and we are very happy with the company's service. The price was fair as we had 5 estimates.and ruled some out for other reasons.

Called them last week. Told them I had an emergency in that a window just cracked and was putting house up for sale.  The estimator who came told me it would be weeks before they could put me in the schedule but when I called that afternoon I was told we will do it as soon as we can.

I need all told 6 window panes replaced.  The cost was very fair and they came within a day.  The fellow who came (Brian) was very nice, left a clean room and did a nice job,

I went to put on some weatherstripping over a gap in the frame and saw one of the window panes was not quite affixed in a corner (slightly pulling away) I called and Brian came right back over and explained it took time for the putty to dry. I did nto know that (obviously ((*_*)) and felt a little silly calling him back but he was fine with it, apologized said probably should have explained that but he was glad I called since I had the concern,

I would use them again in, as they say, a New York minute.

They came out quickly and he did a nice job repairing the windows. The price certainly seemed fair to me although I didn't price with anybody else because it was kind of an emergency situation. The fellow who came to give me an estimate told me it would take weeks for them to do it. I had to clean up my house for sale on Thursday and I needed this done. When I called the company and said that I'm in an emergency, they said they can get here the next day. They came within a day. I went upstairs and there was a gap in one of my windows so I went to weather strip it and I noticed one of the paint seemed to be loose in an area. I called immediately and the guy came right back and explained to me that it takes a while for the putty to set and what I was seeing was normal, etc. I felt kind of stupid calling them and he said he should have explained it to me and said he was very sorry. He said they rather I call them now than not call them. I was very impressed with them. I would use them in a millisecond again.

Everything was good except the expected delivery date. I was led to believe the order would be ready on the Wednesday after the Friday I ordered, they called Thursday to ask me when I needed the order. The shelves then took two weeks after that.

They were very pleasant to deal with both in the ordering and the pick up.  The glass was done on time, packaged well and they helped me get the pieces into my car.  Price was very reasonable.  Would definitely use them again.

I originally contacted the company in early November 2013 to give me an estimate to repair a broken pane of an insulated window in my home.  An appointment was quickly set up for someone to come out and cost the job.  My roommate met the consultant to explain the job and  I received the estimate the next day via email along with a courtesy phone call from the office, explaining the process to get the ball rolling.  I liked that  full payment was expected after the job was completed.  The price seemed reasonable so I went ahead and confirmed with them to have them do the window repair.  I was told the glass would have to be ordered and that usually within 3 - 4 weeks it would arrive.  Once it arrived, an installation appointment would be made shortly thereafter.  Sounded great.  A couple of months went by without a word from the company.  As it was in the dead of winterr I decided to just wait until  until warmer weather returned before searching for another company to come out and do the work.  The room didn't seem any colder than normal despite the inside pane of glass being broken.  Eventually I got a call from Alderfer in late February apologizing for long delay.  Apparently it had been a very busy season for them, which I can imagine with the really harsh winter our area had this season.  They wanted to schedule the installation right away if I was still interested.  I was hesitant, but wanted to get this off my to-do list so agreed to go ahead and scheduled to have the repair done.  Made an appointment for the upcoming Monday.  Of course another big snow storm was predicted so the office called and wanted to reschedule for another day.  When I got the nice lady in the office on the phone we rescheduled for the following Friday.  The installer called me 30 minutes before he was to arrive  as promised.  That gave me plenty of time to meet him at my home.  He was really friendly and took care not to drop broken glass in the home while he took the window out to his truck to repair.  He even put the cardboard we had tapped on the window to prevent the cats from hurting themselves up in the window to keep much of the heat from escaping.  He repaired the window and re-installed it pretty quickly.  He then removed the screen and redid that.  Whole job took about 40 minutes or so.  He cleaned the area and put the furniture back before he left.  He asked if it was OK for the office to bill me and I said that would be fine.  Got the bill in the mail about a week later and sent off the check.  Overall, I was satisfied.  It would have bee nice to to have had some communication to let me know they were backed up.  But they were apologetic about it.  Just glad that I got the window repaired.

I made an appt, dropped it off and picked it up later that day. Everything looked good and clean.
