"Almost immediately after putting in the request into Angi's system, I got a call from Jermaine. He came to my house within the hour to give me a very fair quote, which I accepted. He and his crew came the next day and took away 5 tons of construction debris. They made quick work of it, and cleaned up the site before they left. I was very happy with their work, and would definitely hire his company again."

"Davidâ s a great guy! Easy to talk to, got straight to business. FAIR quote. Unlike other contractors he did not make up some absurdly stupid number and wait for me to negotiate. He gave me a good price right off bat and saved me all the bs negotiations. 10/10 recommend and I can promise Iâ ll be using his services whenever I need repairs or upgrades around the house!"

"Lyman was recommended to us by our friends, We Hired Lyman to get our house baby ready. He installed all the baby proofing hardware and gates, painted the nursery, fixed holes in the walls, tested for lead, and removed flaking paint and plaster. He showed up on time, work was done according to the agreed upon budget, and he has a great taste in music so we were all happy! Heâ ll be back to work on a few more projects."

I'm a highly skilled contractor who's been in the home remodeling field for over 25 years and has just recently started my own company due to the high volume of work I've been blessed to receive. I enjoy creating One of a kind kitchens and baths. My skill set includes carpentry , plumbing, electrical, masonry, roofing and siding, flooring, painting and drywall. "This was a big job that was part of a whole-house renovation. JA Drywall installed framing and drywall throughout my second floor (three bedrooms + hallway) that had experienced a fair amount of water damage as the result of a leaky roof. Juan and Joshua were great coordinating the project--super quick response time for a walk-through & estimate. And the crew were great---super nice guys who did a great job. (One of them even lent me a tool to help with a project I was working on in the kitchen!) Both my carpenter and painters were impressed with their work. I would rehire &/or recommend them in a heartbeat."

"had an excellent experience with Bluamari Contracting Services LLC. They serviced and repaired my water heater and also installed our new breaker box, and the quality of their work was outstanding. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The work was done efficiently, safely, and with great attention to detail. It?s hard to find contractors you can truly trust, but Bluamari exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone needing reliable electrical or plumbing services."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Concrete homes have better fire resistance because this material is highly resistant to fire and heat. But any paint, siding, windows, roofing, or other materials on a concrete home may still be flammable. Never try to stay in a building with a large, active fire or a wildfire approaching because this can still be deadly. However, building a fireproof home with concrete can better protect the structure against total destruction.

No. Removing the cause of concern will only lead to deeper concern. You cannot use any fire-powered appliance like a fireplace or furnace without an escape route for the smoke and fumes. If you remove the flue intending to repair or replace it, you should only use the fireplace, wood stove, or furnace once the flue is in working order. If you cannot replace the flue you have removed, call a chimney repair professional immediately.

Fire doors are constructed to have certain resistance levels regarding fire. A traditional door can typically resist fire for less than one minute, whereas fire doors can resist it for 30 to 120 minutes, depending on the fire door rating. Fire doors give you and your family a better chance of safely escaping during a fire than standard doors.

The NFPA model codes and International Residential Code (IRC) mandate that all new one- and two-family homes have fire sprinkler systems. However, all municipalities are different. The best way to determine if your municipality requires fire sprinklers is to contact your state fire marshal’s office. One reason to install a fire sprinkler system is that it’s the first line of defense in putting out a fire and alerting your family of emergencies.

A chimney requires both a cover and a cap, but these parts often get confused with one another. A chimney cover seals the top of the chimney around the flue pipe to prevent water from entering the chimney. A chimney cap is a piece that sits above the flue to prevent animals, debris, and water from entering the flue.
