Let me start by saying I never write reviews. It took a long time to decide which flooring company to hire to refinish the floors. We finally decided on Floor Coverings International Chester County. Ed came out to our house to give us an estimate. When he was there he saw our 3 small dogs and also mentioned that we needed to put our dogs someplace when the floors were being refinished. They came and finished the floor which was the entire downstairs of the house. It cost $7000. All I cared about was that they would do a good job and if there was a problem they would resolve the issue. One of the dogs had an accident in the house which caused a dark stain (anyone that has dogs knows this could happen). When I called them there response was that is was urine and there was nothing they could do. We have had floors refinished before and have NEVER had any issues. Ed never mentioned that there could be an issue because of the dogs. We have attempted to contact them many times by phone and email with no response and we even tried to contact the owner. Just on a further note there are other issues such as small spots in the kitchen. Whatever product they used had no protective coating. If anything gets on the flooring it stains it. Bottom line is Flooring International does not stand by their work. When you call them they do not call back. They only thing they care about is selling the product. Please do not use them.

They were great and responsive to our questions. They also came back twice to fix minor things we found due to the old subfloor in our older house that we had just bought. The only thing I'd say is I wish they offered to repair subfloor oddities found during the installation of the new carpet. We would have gladly paid extra to fix certain areas, but the crew came in and installed super quickly without raising any issues to us. Either way, we'd recommend!

A salesman comes to the house and brings samples. I felt a little bit obligated to hire them for the job even though the cost was too high. The completed job looks good but the value just isn't there.
