With three generations in the water well drilling and pump installation business, we have the knowledge and experience in drilling new water wells, installation of new pump systems, and servicing existing well pump systems.

"Woke up this morning with no water. Pump is nearly 20 years old and was due - but you never expect it. I called a local company that I had used twice before for issues and was told they were pretty well booked for today. I asked if they would be here tomorrow and I was told "possibly, but not definitely"!!!!!!! I did not know where to turn other than searching for the next nearest company. Fortunately for me, that was Tyler Well. They answered the phone when I called. They gave me a time they would come, luckily for me the same day. They were early! They went directly to work and I was up and running with water in an hour! Their price was more than fair and they were gentlemen. I cannot recommend Tyler Well highly enough."

"I am so happy I found this company on Angi. Jimmy and his team were great! They gave me an affordable quote for a sagging floor over my crawlspace. They arrived on time, finished on time (one day!), and left the area clean. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs crawlspace services."

"My "guy" is no longer in business, decided to give a local Marshall Creek company a shot. Simple job, slick outcome. Called in the am and spoke to A....n, gave information and had to ask for price (they were about to hang up) I was told $150 to "look at it" and if anything else was needed he would call...watched them on my camera, job was done in less than 30 minutes (minus travel time) and he called me and gave me a price of $270. When I questioned why so much, he said he had to lift the pump to check the pump and the price to lift was $225, and when questioned again why wasn't i told upfront because its obvious you need to lift to check it out and incredibly he said if I wanted him to jam it and put it back.....after a back and forth conversation he also said he needed to replace a canister at the box. ($45 for a canister) is a bit too much but lesson learned, careful giving local business work - next time I'll stick with FJ Hess."

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

You should have your well inspected once per year. You should also have a well inspection done when you’re buying a house with a private well, when the well cap is opened, when the septic tank is repaired, or when there is flooding.

During your annual visit, a pro will make sure that everything is working correctly and check for certain contaminants, including total coliform. Every other year, they’ll look for things like metals and nitrates, and every five years, they’ll test for pesticides.

A well does not run out of water because the groundwater continues to refill with rainwater that seeps through the ground. If the well is too shallow or there is a drought, a well can run dry or be short in supply. It’s important to have a well deep enough to source enough water for your home’s use. Deeper wells tap into more groundwater reserves. If your well is not producing enough water, you may need to redig your well.

Well pumps need power to run, so they can’t function without electricity. If your power shuts off, there can sometimes be enough pressure in the water tank to allow for a lucky flush or a bit of tap water—but this won’t last long. It’s a good idea to have a backup generator or an alternative power source like solar if you’re worried about losing power.

A well pressure tank is located between the well and the well pump, and it stores your water under pressure so that the well pump can eventually do its job. The well pump is activated whenever you turn a faucet on—it pulls the water from the tank into your home. Both are vital parts of a complete well water system.

There are a few signs you can look out for to determine if your well pump needs to be repaired or replaced, including the following:

  • Your water pressure fluctuates.

  • You lose water entirely on occasion.

  • You notice the pump making unusual noises.

  • Water sputters out of your fixtures.

  • Your utility bills suddenly spike without explanation.

  • You notice sediment or cloudiness in your water.

  • You hear that the pump runs continuously.

If you notice any of these issues, call a professional well pump repair service to inspect it and determine whether you should repair or replace it.
