I found Heyrich & Co, sadly, to be surprisingly unprofessional and lazy in their analysis of a persistent leak from my shower. Heyrich's team had an 'pass the buck' attitude toward fixing the leak, blaming their inability to fix the leak on the tiling person that Heyrich himself recommended. In the end, I found Heyrich amazingly unprofessional, rude, and patronizing.

He is very honest; he won't try to sell you anything that you don't need. He is the best we've ever had for heating & A/C services.

One person came to do the work.   It took about 45 min.  He left the area clean.  He arrived on time.  It was easy to schedule an appoitment.  They are easy to reach, dependalble,  pleasant, and do a great job.  I have been using them for years.

The business is run by John Heyrich, and his son Rob and grandson Robbie are the guys you see most. Once you place a call, they call back right away, they're very, very nice, they try to keep the job cost efficient and they give excellent advice.
I was a little bit of a pain because I scheduled this most recent job poorly, and they had to return several times.  Each time they were supremely cheerful and kind and didn't seem to be at all fazed by the repeat visits.
Big, big fan of John Heyrich plumbing.

Every job John Heyrich Inc has done for us over the years has been excellent.  They have always been responsive, prompt, and very professional.  Their time and cost estimates are on target ... they know what it will take, and how long it will take, and where permits are involved, about how long that will take.  Having a house that is nearly a century old has its challenges, and they are very knowledgeable about plumbing and heating in old homes.  The company has been in business in town for just over a hundred years and they know what to do, and coordinate very well with the town when the job requires a permit or other town resources.  I would recommend them without reservation.

My hot water heater had started to leak but it was still under warranty from Sears. I originally had arranged for Sears to bring a replacement unit and pay $375 for installation. However, when the Sears dispatched plumber arrived with the unit, I was told that due to plumbing code changes, the upgrades of a grounding wire and wider flue would cost an additional $350. I told them to leave the water heater and go. I checked with various plumbers on Angie's list. One with lots of ?A? rated reviews quoted me $1500 to install the water heater which was already sitting in the basement next to the old water heater. Heyrich came over within one hour of calling him and gave me the price of $375. He said it would take about 90 minutes and he could install it the next day. The next day came, the work was done in 90 minutes and the old tank was removed. Considering Heyrich did the same exact work that the other 'A' rated plumber on Angie's list quoted for $1500 and Sears? quoted for $725, it was a tremendous savings. Sears hourly rate would have been about $500/hour and the other 'A' rated plumber?s hourly rate would have been $1000/hour. It just shows you should get multiple quotes and I have absolutely no complaints with Heyrich.

They responded quickly to our phone call for estimate, came on time, were clean w/ their work space, pleasant to talk to. They were polite & friendly, eager to answer questions regarding future plumbing/heating options to improve our energy comsuption. The plumber who came to do the work was 'family' to the owner & he represented the organization well. As a woman at home alone I was comfortable having them in the house without my husband in attendence.(also was not afraid of our dog)

We have used Heyrich Plumbing for both plumbing and heating system repair for the past ten years or so. The last work they performed for us was to replace a sump pump the week of the March 2011 floods. Rob Heyrich came the morning of the failure and helped get the pump going sufficiently to get the water out of the basement and prevent further backup. The next day he sent an employee to replace the malfunctioning pump with a high quality pump. Afterwards, Rob was helpful in providing a report for my homeowners insurance company. I recommend John Heyrich Plumbing because of their responsiveness as well as the high quality of their work.

They have been reliable. When we did have some furnace problems he was able to get it some of it resolved through the manufacturer of the furnace so he saved us money. They have been fair. The quality has been good. I will use them again in the future.

He was responsive.  He did a very good job at a competitive price.  It was not more or less, but it was fair.  He fixed the furnace and some other problems like water in the furnace or something like that.  I was the president of the board at that time.  Since it was a nonprofit we got several estimates.  We were very happy with him.  I wasn't the person who worked directly with him, though.  Our house and grounds person was the one who dealt with him.  He was very happy with him.  He was excellent in every way.  We had a good experience with him and will continue to use him.  He is a fine service provider.  He says we are welcome to call him back if we have any problems with something.  I don't have a single complaint about him.  I would recommend him.

Sent two guys to do the job and they finished quickly, cleaned everything up and we now have boiling hot water from the hot water tap (guess I'll have to reduce the temp). The price was higher than others but we felt confident and comfortable with this firm and would use them again.
