  • A Touch of Class Remodeling INC
Steve and his team completely remodeled our bathroom - not a single thing from our old bathroom was reused. Steve worked with us to assist with the selection of all the materials for the new bathroom and they installed everything: electrical, plumbing, floors, painting, vanities, and fixtures. EVERYTHING! And we love our new bathroom! The crew was excellent, on time, worked their butts off, and they were very good house guests for almost 3 weeks. They were courteous and respectful of our time - critical with my wife and me working from home. We would totally use them again and we're looking for new projects for them already. Highly recommended

  • Dale J Arndt Plumbing & Heating
This is going to read very similar to my review of June 2017 below, except with the bathtub in my other bathroom. A (different) handyman was doing some other work in our house, and he broke off the decorative ring on the popup drain (not sure how or why). He (the handyman) wanted to fix it from the powder room ceiling below, since there was no other access. But this would have involved cutting into the drywall which he had just painted all nice. I told him to hold off. SOS call to Dale. Dale showed up and tried to take the fitting out with his special tool, but was limited in the amount of torque that could be applied to the cross piece since something else was turning which shouldnt be (perhaps as a result of the handyman's prior attempts). So back to the hacksaw blade trick of 2017 -- again he sawed the fitting remnant off the threads to remove it. Painstaking work, **** ** your knees and forearms. I offered him some water or coke. He politely declined saying he had his drinks in the van. Also delicate work as you had to be careful not to damage the pipe threads in the PVC drainpipe. Anyway, he got it out and a new replacement went in smooth. He also snaked out a slow flushing commode. Throughout, he kept explaining what he was doing. He cleaned up after himself. And most importantly for my wife, he agreed to wear shoe covers we supplied, and he took them off and back on every time he had to go to his truck (about 4 times). We were so appreciative of this, as well has relieved that we didnt have to rip up the drywall, that we added a 10% gratuity

  • Sure-Fix Remodeling
Very, very well despite some unforeseen obstacles. The quality of their work was top notch; their employees were professional in their work including respecting our home while under construction. The professionalism extended to their administrative staff as well. What was most impressive is they honored their quote despite missing one aspect of the scope of work. I even offered to entertain an adjustment in price but Henry (the owner) would not hear of it. Finally, understand I was a contractor for a significant part of my career. They performed and provided the type of quality of their work I would have expected from my own employees. They are first class and I offer my unqualified endorsement

Plumbing FAQ

  1. How much does a plumber cost?

Answer: The cost of a plumber ranges from $175 to $480, with a national average of $330. However, the price will vary depending on job complexity, timing, location, supplies and materials, permits, and level of expertise. These costs typically include toilet repairs, faucet installations, and leaky pipes. In addition to the service call, you may also need to budget for haul-away and trip fees often required during more complicated jobs. Ask your local plumbing contractor about these fees before hiring them.

  2. How much does a plumber charge to replace a toilet?

Answer: On average, you can expect to pay your local plumbing contractor between $125 and $230 to replace an old toilet, with most residential homeowners paying around $150 to $180 for professional installation. You’ll need to consider materials and labor when calculating a final price. Not all toilets are equal. Depending on the brand you choose and the features you want, a new toilet might run you anywhere from $100 to $1,300. Add in the price of labor and installation, and your total project can jump up to $200 and $1,500.

  3. How much does a plumber cost to fix a toilet?

Answer: According to our service providers, it costs roughly $75 to $200 on average to have your toilet repaired. However, this price will vary depending on the complexity of the job and the materials needed for the fix. Repairs can be messy and less-than-pleasant to address, but having a functioning toilet is most definitely necessary. If you’re experiencing problems with your toilet, contact a local, reputable plumbing contractor right away, as avoiding repairs can lead to bigger—and more expensive—issues over time.

  4. Is liquid plumber safe for septic systems?

Answer: Good news! Liquid-Plumr® is safe for septic systems. Most drain cleaners disrupt the pH in your septic tank, which prevents the good bacteria from breaking down septic waste. The chemical make-up in Liquid-Plumr® works with the bacteria to break down waste quickly without harming your septic system. Still, it’s best to confirm with your local plumbing provider if Liquid-Plumr® is the right solution for your system.

  5. How much is it for a plumber to unclog a toilet?

Answer: Even the most well-maintained toilets experience clogs. It’ll cost you an average of $200 to $700 to unclog your toilet. Severe clogs will require a more comprehensive repair method, so check with your local plumbing contractor to determine the best approach for unclogging your toilet.

  6. Is Liquid-Plumr®, or any other liquid drain cleaner, safe for septic systems?

Answer: Yes and no. Liquid-Plumr® and other drain cleaners are most effective when used sparingly (one to three times a year). Repeated use of liquid plumber on drains could deteriorate your pipes and cause more damage. If your pipes clog frequently, put down the liquid plumber and call your local plumbing contractor immediately.
