"Terribly. These guys really had no idea what they were doing. They have some "minor" things to finish up and have disappeared. Will not return text messages. They left ridges and low spots and spaces where water will freeze and crack asphalt. Paid the $16000. Half way through paving said that they calculated wrong and with they would put a thinner thickness or I could pay for another truck of hot mix. Cost me another $3000! I'm an idiot not having checked out their work with other customers. Only thing positive is that they were real nice guys."

If your concrete steps have crumbled or chipped, you can fix them by removing any chips or flakes, cleaning and wetting the affected area, applying a concrete bonding agent, and finally applying new concrete, usually in the form of Portland cement. If you have cracks that are more than ⅛-inch wide or driveway cracks that continue to grow, you should call in a professional driveway repair company to fix underlying problems—like insufficient support from the soil underneath—before filling in the cracks. An epoxy sealant is a better option for wider cracks after the surface is leveled and the underlying problem is fixed.

Concrete should be at least 2 inches thick to maintain its stability and quality. Most concrete slabs fall between 4 and 6 inches thick, but you should be careful not to make the new slab too high or heavy. If you're considering a stamped concrete overlay, hire an experienced stamped concrete contractor to determine the ideal concrete thickness.
