The glass break sensor was a bit sensitive to loud noise such as cabinet door closing and door sensor repeatedly falls off and had to be reattached. Notification of alarm activation was fast and made to the right contact numbers. This prevented false alarm calls to the police."

"The job went very smoothly. The tech ran a bit late, but he called to say so. He installed a keypad by the front door and assessed the house for security. He suggested, since there are several casement windows in the living room and adjoining dining room that a breaking glass sensor would work better and be more cost-effective than alarming all the windows. He did alarm a door that the previous company (inherited when we bought the house twenty-three years ago) had not considered significant. I feel safer with the current sensor choices than the ones I had before.
He took the time to make sure I knew how to use the system, so I am very pleased with the service. My one caveat: I was told that the motion sensor would not register my smaller pets (two cats) because they weigh under forty pounds. They must have set off the sensor, though, because the police responded. The system certainly alerts the authorities, but that motion sensor is very sensitive!

"My new home came with a security system.  I called the number (Not Pro Techt Home Security) on the system to schedule an install.  On the day of the install I was told, after I called, that the install technician was going to be our for a week and so no one would be able to come out to set up my alarm system.  Thankfully I found Theo.  Theo was very helpful and was able to use the system that my home came with (unlike another security company). He installed extra equipment and provided a very reasonable price for monthly monitoring.  I highly recommend Pro Techt Home Security.  Theo turned a bad situation into a good one and I greatly appreciate his work.

"I have called Eric in the past for some home repair work, and I was always completely satisfied.  I called him again for some electrical repairs, and I was pleased that I received the same quality work.  He returned my call within 24 hours, and we scheduled a day for the repairs.  He arrived on time, and he explained the work that needed to be done as well as an estimate of the cost.  He is reputable, efficient, and personable.  I have never been disappointed with his work, and I feel that his price is fair.  He does it once, and he does it correctly.  I will call him again for two future projects that I want done in my home.  He cares about his business, and It is obvious that he is competent in doing it well.  I have dealt with electricians in the past who have shown little concern for what I need.    I never seen this when dealing with Eric.  In fact, although we agreed on a day for repairs, I missed his first call of that day as I didn't hear the phone.  Then I didn't hear when he rang the doorbell as I was in the garage.  He made a third attempt (called me again while at my front door), and fortunately I heard the phone ring.  Not many electricians will make 3 attempts to satisfy a customer.  I found Eric on Angies List, and I am pleased with his work.

"First the good:
The up front cost cant be beat since all of the sensors and control panel were no cost to cover 20 doors and windows.  Installation was pretty straight forward and the phone reps were fairly knowledgeable and professional.  I added a couple features like an extra key pad, siren and glass break sensors that cost aprox $350.  The extras were a little pricey but compared to the $2000 another provided quoted, it was still a deal.
The control panel is cellular based so cutting your phone lines will not effect the alarm.
Now the not so good:
The quality of the sensors has not been very good.  I have had 2 DOA when the packages arrived new and 2 failed within several days.  When I contacted Protect America they were very nice about sending me new ones, but it took weeks and a couple calls before I saw the first replacements.  The second set of replacements that arrived for the failed units ended up being the wrong sensors.  Their shipping department does not seem to have good quality control.  The next very annoying element is the wait time on the phone when you are trying to get anything set up.  I spent a couple hours on hold working through the set up the first time and at least an hour the second time when I installed the replacement sensors.
Some cautions; make sure you hide the main control panel because if an intruder disables it before the alarm has sounded for 60 seconds, the police may not be notified.  Also they only call to check if everything is ok if the alarm is not canceled for 60 seconds.  So you can not be sure if the signal is getting through.
Monthly monitoring fee is high, but since the system was intially free, even after 3 years it is still the cheaper route.
Now that I have the equipment, once our contract is expired I will find a different alarm provider that responds to every alarm.

"This is the 2nd time we've hired Nate to do work for us, and it went great. He was willing to work on a Saturday morning, which really helped us out. He showed up on time, and worked quickly. He also put together another set of shelves that I was planning to finish, but didn't. After he left I noticed that the shelves were not secure to the drawers. I called him and he came back and secured them right away. We are very happy with our new office furniture!!
