Jack and Sam were the best. I had a very positive experience from the first phone call to completion of the project. We had a double and a single garage doors along with automatic garage door opener installed. Jack's expertise helped us select the perfect doors. They were replacing old, worn out doors. The new ones add a touch of class to the exterior or the house and the quality of insulation is apparent. Jack and Sam came when expected, went to work immediately and cleaned up afterward. My experience was quick responses regarding the schedule for installation, a small final price adjustment from the initial quote, and received courteous follow up texts and phone calls on exact ETA for installation. The 2-man crew were very courteous and professional during the installation work, with noticeable attention to details wherever any necessary adjustments were required. The crew was very familiar with the installation steps, and their expertise with it made the work seem straightforward and 'easy'. A couple of devices (external keypads) were not available, so they will be back to install them once in stock.

Jack and Double D are your guys, full stop. This was the best contractor interaction I have ever had. Details below. After submitting a query here I received a call from Jack who was very laid back and offered to check out my garage that same day for no fee. We had an archaic opener system from the mid 70s and Jack laid one eye on it and instantly called out the model, year, and mechanics of it. I was surprised, until he told me he is a THIRD GENERATION garage mechanic. He made recommendations to get our garage up to safety standards (we had springs from the 70s that were beginning to stretch). He gave us a quote that day, and had a plan all ready to go. After he gave us a quote he noticed a hole on the side of our attached garage. He said we could get ants in there and we should fill it. Then he stopped himself and said he'd bring some caulk and fill it when he did the doors. The quote was a good $1,000 lower than any other one we'd gotten. He gave us an installation window later in the month and we were excited, albeit a bit bummed we had to wait. But the doors had to be ordered so we understood. 3 days later he called and said he checked with his guys and our doors came in early, and he only knew that because he called way ahead of when he was supposed to because he knew we were down a garage. The next day he and another crew member installed the garage in half a day, and we couldn't be happier. So when he drove away, I was walking back to the house and happened to glance over at the hole Jack mentioned when we first talked. It was filled. He did it and didn't make a big deal of it. I will recommend Jack for anyone who needs garage door work forever and ever. I really appreciate it.

Jack and Sam came out moments after another company left. The other company told us garage opener could not be fixed and needed a new one and quoted us a price of $550 dollars. When Jack inspected the opener he said it needed a new gear box and he saved me hundreds of dollars. Jack and Sam were friendly, courteous, and very professional. I trust them completely and would highly recommend them.

He came in to replace the door openers and do an inspection on doors that were put on in the 1970's that I had never serviced. I knew they needed a lot of work. His price was so very reasonable, and they really work like new. I will call again for maintenance checkups every so many years, even though he showed me how to oil myself if I want to. Based on his service and price I will leave it to the professional. hope to get another 50 years out of the doors (they were custom built to match the cedar on my house by the previous owner). I accidentally tore off some of the existing weather stripping on my garage door during some routing painting.  I called Scott Giel to see if he'd be interested in doing the repair work for me, as most of the existing weather stripping was in poor condition.  After calling and leaving messages twice, I did get a return call from Scott saying that he'd be out to give me an estimate.  He came on the date and at the time he said he would, gave me a fair estimate and told me he'd be able to do the work within the next week.  He called just a couple of days later and came to do the work.  He provided a better quality product than initially discussed (vinyl trim for the existing door rather than wood, to help minimize future repairs and painting) and offered suggestions for how the increase the overall weatherizing of my garage door.  He also pointed out potential problems with safely operating my door, based on his observation of some extension cords used for Christmas decorating.  His work was high quality and professional, he was friendly and courteous during the repair, and did not seem to mind answering my questions.  I have used Scott's company in the past and would recommend him and his work to my friends and neighbors.
