"The job was to remove a downed limb from my tree; it hadn’t caused any major damage, but it was encroaching on my neighbor’s yard. Tripoli was quick to respond to my request for an estimate; the quote was reasonable. Had to wait because they were dealing with much more pressing tree issues after the storm, but just a little over two weeks wasn’t a bad turnaround. All the debris was cleared and prompt communication thru the entire 2 weeks."

"Doesn't return calls or emails and is unprofessional. He removed the tree but was late grinding the stump, which I communicated from the beginning I needed done in order to lay a foundation for my retaining wall. Not only was he late and didn't communicate when he could come back, he didn't grind it deep enough so we had to pay extra for someone else to come out and finish the job. Below are the email communications with dates and times. You can see that from the project start the timeline was in place and Ray knew I needed the stump removed before the retaining wall foundation could be laid. I told him on Wednesday, June 3 that the wall was going to be removed in the next couple of days and asked how much lead time he needed. I got no response. He did not return any of our calls when we were trying to get him to come out and grind the stump. He didn't respond with a date until June 11 and didn't come out until June 14. If he would have told me he couldn't meet my timeline I could have gotten someone else to do it. I had to hire someone else anyway because he couldn't even grind the stump deep enough for my walls foundation, which would have been nice to know before committing to the project. His price is fair, he does quick work, but he is unprofessional in my opinion and it cost us time and money. We have a combined 41 years of experience in this industry and employ ISA Certified Arborists who will be present for all proposals and all work. Please contact us via email at [email protected] DUE TO OUR BACKLOG OF WORK, WEARE UNABLE TO ATTEND TO REQUESTS FOR WORK TO BE DONE "Within 2 weeks"

"Jeremy really provided world-class service and I can’t recommend Kruljac Tree Services enough. I had called on the morning of April 29th about two large bushes and one tree stump removal and was set up for an estimate the following Monday. But nature intervened and I feared our small project would be pushed back far on their roster. He called and arrived on May 2nd to give an estimate since was already in the neighborhood and proposed two additional services which we had not even thought about and were happy to include. And for a very reasonable price. Despite the extent of their continued heavy schedule they were able to fit in this smaller project today, a wait of only two weeks and performed a very fast, tidy, and visually pleasing result. And they use incredibly quiet machines to achieve their results! Thank you so much from the DE GROAT family."

Yes, you will want to confirm that the tree removal company you hire is insured before proceeding with the job. Tree removal can be dangerous work, and it's important to verify that the company carries the proper insurance to cover any onsite accidents or damage.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

To have a fallen tree removed near your home, you can expect to pay between $100 to $500. Your local tree removal professional will most likely just need to cut and remove the tree from your property, but factors like the size of the tree and its trunk diameter impact this cost. In addition, there will be an extra cost to fill in the hole left by the tree, and while you have your tree removal specialist on-site, it might be worth it to have them inspect the other trees in your yard for potential damage. Trees that have fallen onto your home or another structure, will likely be more costly to remove.

The minimum cost is $500 to $1,000, as disposal of tree debris is between $200 and $300 per load.

On average, removing a tree costs around $750, but you can expect to pay between $200 to $2,000. Factors that impact the overall cost include the number of trees you’re having removed, their height, the diameter of their trunks, permits needed, and the tree’s accessibility. You’ll pay more if the tree is in a hard-to-reach area or dangerous location, like close to power lines.

The cost varies depending on a number of factors, including the size of the tree, location, accessibility, whether or not the stump is also being removed, and other environmental factors.

  1. If there are no online reviews, ask them for referrals. If a tree removal company is reputable, you won't be their first client. It's perfectly acceptable to ask for references on your initial call, and if a removal company won't provide referrals, it's time to move on.

  2. Find out what equipment they use. Some types of tree removal equipment are better than others, and a removal company might need special tools to get your particular job done. On your first conversation with a prospective removal company, make sure that you clearly express the nature of the job you want accomplished and receive assurances that the company has the proper equipment.

  3. Consider all of the costs. Always ask for an estimate up-front. Inquire about the job itself and any potential hidden fees that you might not be aware of.

First, get references. Be sure to ask about their history and how long they have been in business.

Budget over $1,500 if you need a tree removed from your yard that’s larger than 80 feet. Large tree removal is a significant project that requires a crane, and the overall price will increase if the tree is close to your house. Typically, smaller trees can cost as low as $8 per foot to remove, while larger trees (over 80 feet) can cost at least $15 per foot.
