"Doesn't return calls or emails and is unprofessional. He removed the tree but was late grinding the stump, which I communicated from the beginning I needed done in order to lay a foundation for my retaining wall. Not only was he late and didn't communicate when he could come back, he didn't grind it deep enough so we had to pay extra for someone else to come out and finish the job. Below are the email communications with dates and times. You can see that from the project start the timeline was in place and Ray knew I needed the stump removed before the retaining wall foundation could be laid. I told him on Wednesday, June 3 that the wall was going to be removed in the next couple of days and asked how much lead time he needed. I got no response. He did not return any of our calls when we were trying to get him to come out and grind the stump. He didn't respond with a date until June 11 and didn't come out until June 14. If he would have told me he couldn't meet my timeline I could have gotten someone else to do it. I had to hire someone else anyway because he couldn't even grind the stump deep enough for my walls foundation, which would have been nice to know before committing to the project. His price is fair, he does quick work, but he is unprofessional in my opinion and it cost us time and money. "The job was to remove a downed limb from my tree; it hadn’t caused any major damage, but it was encroaching on my neighbor’s yard. Tripoli was quick to respond to my request for an estimate; the quote was reasonable. Had to wait because they were dealing with much more pressing tree issues after the storm, but just a little over two weeks wasn’t a bad turnaround. All the debris was cleared and prompt communication thru the entire 2 weeks."

We have the experience and we are committed to providing quality workmanship and superior customer service on all our applications. We at BeaverJack Tree Service strive to maintain our reputation as a high quality, very service oriented company with our main focus being customer satisfaction.

"I had a tree removed after a storm knocked it over. I contracted and paid to have the stump removed as well. While the tree was removed quickly I have been waiting over two months to get the stump removed. When I call I just get excuses that the stump removal equipment is broken. No one will talk to me but the receptionist. Very frustrating."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

You can use a chainsaw, but it won’t remove the entire stump or root ball and is not a recommended method. It takes quite a bit of physical work to achieve and will likely dull or ruin your chainsaw. Instead, consider using salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, stump grinding, or burning to kill a tree stump. These methods allow you to kill a stump using minimal machinery and physical exertion.

You can trim just one side of the tree, especially when that side is growing near something like a power line or a home. Pros will carefully trim the tree back until it is safe from that structure. While this is common, it also needs to be done with the utmost care, as pruning or trimming away at one side of the tree may make it structurally unsound. This instance is yet another where hiring a pro is wise, especially if power lines are involved.

No, you should never top maple trees. Topping injures the tree and leads to the rapid growth of a weak canopy, which can be hazardous to rooftops and utility lines. Removing the crown can also leave the interior bark vulnerable to sun damage, leading to insects and disease. A topped tree can also reduce property value and permanently damage the appearance of a tree.

Yes, dead trees are dangerous for several reasons. For one, they pose a falling hazard. Dead, rotting trees can also attract harmful pests. And if the tree died because of a disease, it could spread the disease to healthy trees.

Most plum trees are pruned into a vase or open wine glass shape. They’ll have a shorter central leader (the trunk) that supports three to four main branches. Of course, this isn't always the case. If you have a European plum tree, you can grow it in a pyramid shape. Let the central leader extend the length of the tree and prune smaller branches to create the pyramid.
