"I used the company on two occasions for my former home and for my new home. I used Champion Window Company of Wichita, LLC to replace eight windows and for my new property they have replaced about three windows. When comparing price and service to Anderson and Pella this company wins hands down on customer service and pricing. I already have referred this company many times."
"The installers were wonderful. Friendly, knowledgeable, fast and CLEAN! Youâ d barely know theyâ d been there!. And our sales person really helped us understand the best, but not most expensive windows for our house. If I need more windows they will be back!"
"Excellent workmanship and products I have had three installations with Power in the past two years. I first used them for a new roof and gutters. The workers were all knowledgeable in their area of work. Clean up was good although some nails kept showing up over time. Next I had the 2nd floor windows and some 1st floor windows replaced, 9 in total. Installation went well and they cleaned up beautifully afterwards. I love the windows! They are a beautiful and energy efficient product. Lastly, I recently had a bay window replaced in my kitchen with the same type window. The workers ere all friendly and explained what would be done. The area was draped with plastic to cut down on dust. Clean up was excellent inside and outside! The window is beautiful and the framing on the outside of the window matches the other windows and the small roof above the bay window was replaced with the same roofing as the rest of the house. I would choose them again for any future projects."
"Overall, I am very pleased with the work they completed! The process of receiving a quote, booking the work, and paying the bill were incredibly user friendly and easy to complete. These truly could not have gone any better and it may have been the easiest thing I have done with house work. I had a few other quotes on this work and this company was a better deal by and large or at least competitive with the other offers. The work was done largely to my satisfaction with only a few very minor criticisms. There were some areas that were particularly dirty on my house and it appears that there are spots on the under-side of the siding that may have been missed. The window cleaning was decent on most windows, but it looks like they may have been done in an order that made the lower level windows dirty again before the work was completed. Since the window cleaning was included in the base price, this is hardly worth mentioning because most places would charge extra for this service anyways, so something is better than nothing. Overall, I liked the work they did and I would absolutely consider using them the next time I need this work done!"
"We've used US Film Crew and Keith Hillison multiple times for residential window tinting, and they've been outstanding every time. The quality of the work is excellent, they're professional, reliable, and easy to work with, and the results always exceed our expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for home window tinting."
"The window job took a lot of skill to do. He had a table saw and did a fantastic job. It looks exactly like the other windows and we are very pleased. As far as the other things he did, they were minor for him, but a relief for me to just have things done! "
In Pittsburgh, you’ll encounter several types of window service professionals. Full-service window installation companies handle everything from measurement to cleanup, while general contractors often include window replacement in larger remodels. Glass specialists focus on repairs and custom panes, and historic window restoration experts are familiar with Pittsburgh’s older homes. Energy efficiency consultants can recommend upgrades tailored to local weather, ensuring your windows suit both your property’s age and Pittsburgh’s climate.
Helpful?
In Pittsburgh, homeowners sometimes underestimate the impact of freeze-thaw cycles and humidity on window performance. Choosing windows without proper energy ratings or skipping research on local contractors’ experience with older Pittsburgh homes are frequent missteps. Overlooking the need for permits or not checking historic district guidelines can also cause delays. Comparing multiple window service quotes and planning for local weather helps avoid these common errors.
Helpful?
In Pittsburgh, be wary of window service quotes that are much lower than others, as this may signal shortcuts or inferior materials. Avoid contractors who rush you to sign, request unusually large deposits, or refuse to provide local references. If a professional can’t explain how their window installation meets Pittsburgh’s building codes or ignores questions about warranties, it’s best to keep searching for a reputable local expert.
Helpful?
Pittsburgh homes, especially those in historic neighborhoods, often reveal surprises like rotted sills, outdated lead paint, or the need for custom-sized windows. You might also face fees for permits, extra insulation to handle Pittsburgh’s winters, or added labor for upper-story window replacement. Weather-related delays and repairs to interior finishes can add time, so it’s wise to discuss these possibilities with your window installation contractor upfront.
Helpful?
Pittsburgh’s weather demands windows that resist moisture and insulate against cold winters. Many neighborhoods have architectural guidelines, especially in historic districts, so matching window style and material is important. Look into local utility rebates for energy-efficient window replacement. Also, consider access for installation crews in tight city streets, potential parking restrictions, and how seasonal weather might affect your project timeline in Pittsburgh.
