Josh could have very easily exploited our ignorance and suggested a solution purely beneficial to his company that may not have addressed the underlying cause of the problem. Instead, he demonstrated his integrity by realistically assessing the situation even if it would jeopardize the sale. This is commendable particularly in this era where cutthroat business practices are commonplace. I highly recommend Basement Gurus. "I had a small but complicated, hard to access, and structurally essential repair job on a 60-year-old concrete deck attached to my 280-year-old Pennsylvania limestone farmhouse. I contacted several masons listed for my area on Home Advisor, and included Mr. Grady as a long shot -- I read about his expertise with historical structures and wished I had access to such an expert craftsman, but I didn't think he'd be interested in my teeny job and assumed I wouldn't be able to afford him anyway. He was the first one to return my call and to look at the job, and I thought his price was fair. I believe now it was way more than fair, considering the time he spent. He did extensive research, going over a structural engineer's report I had done previously on the deck and even examining the original architectural drawings and materials invoices from 1959. He showed up at least three times to complete the repair in stages, and has been back a half a dozen times since then to check the job -- and my location is not exactly in his neighborhood. He accepted only enough payment in advance to pay for lodging for himself and his assistant when they stayed nearby one night in order to be there early the next morning. He gave and continues to give free advice about preserving my stone house and patio. If you prod him a little, he might even share some of his personal philosophy, earned over a lifetime of work that is clearly more of an art form than a job to him. Overall, I'd say you can hire one of many competent contractors and get an adequate job, or you can hire Mr. Grady and get superior work by someone who cares about your property as much as you do."

It went great!!   For the estimate they worked around my schedule.  I knew how I wanted the deck to look but that was it. Lew was great in helping me decide all the details. The work was done in a few days and all the workers were very polite and helpful  with any questions I had along the way. I now have a gorgeous deck from the back of my house with new sliding doors up to my pool that has a locking gate for the safety of my children. They did a fantastic job!!

"We hired KES to replace the siding on our twin house along with our neighbor. We chose the Pelican Bay One Traditional Shake vinyl siding in Coastal Sage. Ron was very responsive and good at communicating with us throughout the entire project; from our request for an estimate until the end of the job. We had trouble with other contractors following up with estimates. Ron's estimate was very competitive. He is very knowledgeable about the products he is using and about siding houses, in general. Some issues came up while the work was being done (mostly due to the age of our house) and we were able to resolve them with Ron appropriately. In the end, the house looks great and we are very happy. We have received many compliments from our neighbors. I would hire Ron again and recommend him to my friends. Ron is a special contractor who really cares about his clients and about the work done."

"Desmond and Brian were awesome to work with! We purchased an old fixer upper and were really overwhelmed by the amount of work it needed. We wanted to do a lot of the work ourselves, but decided to hire someone to do the messy work for us. Desmond and Brian were more than willing to complete a partial job. We came across many contractors that would only renovate our kitchen from start to finish. After giving us an estimate, they were willing to negotiate some of the pricing to make us feel more comfortable with the cost. They were extremely fair with their price.
The communication was great throughout the whole experience. Desmond frequently called or texted with updates and questions. We were living about 40 minutes away during the renovation and Desmond would send picture updates on a regular basis. On one occasion, the people refinishing our floors (not affiliated with Desmond) accidently left one of our doors open. Our neighbor called Desmond and he came over right away to lock-up for us...so nice!
The work was excellent quality and they were able to complete it within the timeline we needed. We always felt comfortable having them in the house when we weren't there. Both Brian and Desmond are overall great people, did fantastic work, and were fair with work/pricing. We would definitely hire them again!
