"This pro was great. We needed to replace our pool liner. It is one of the hottest stretches of the summer. We called a couple places and they told us a 2 weeks to a month. Not knowing what to do I looked up Angi's. Before I was off of the site I was contacted by Pittsburgh Liner Pro. Dave is who we talked to. Answered all of our questions. Dave came out and looked at the job. Put us on the schedule for Monday. Arrived on time and had water the pool that day. Came back next morning cut out spots for filter system and we were done. 3 days total . Dave was very personable and explained everything. His installer was great too! I would definitely recommend this pro. "

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

The best way to heat a swimming pool depends on your pool and location. Those living in sunny environments may find that a solar-powered heater works just fine, but you may need something more reliable, like a gas or electric heater if it’s often cloudy where you live. When in doubt, try a few lower-cost options first to see if they meet your needs before going all in on a more expensive heater.

Each state has its own regulations about pool fences, and laws to protect both swimmers and pool owners. Before installing a pool, you’ll need to research what the pool laws in your state, city, and county are to ensure that you’re adhering to the legal regulations. Inground pools typically need to have a fence around the entirety of them, but the rules regarding above-ground pools are less stringent. A good rule of thumb is to always have a fence around your pool to ensure safety for all.

If you live in an area where pool enclosures are expected, like in Florida, having one won't necessarily increase your home value. However, it's worth noting that in warm climates, a pool can add $11,600 to $95,000 to a home's value.

On the other hand, if you're in an area where pool enclosures are not common, having one might set your home apart from the crowd. Depending on the appraiser, you may see an additional $25,000 to $27,000 or more for an enclosed, inground pool when it comes time to sell.

Yes, with custom measurements ensuring perfect fit and function.

Most importantly, you should never cut corners when building a pool. Whether it’s an in-ground or aboveground, poorly constructed pools are dangerous to both the swimmers and your property. Leaks can even lead to home foundation damage. While you can DIY smaller elements of pool installation, always hire a contractor to oversee the process.
