Jon arrived on time and spent a good bit of time looking all around the basement and attic, even performing a home leak test which revealed that our chimney's damper doesn't perform as it should (already called for service) and that the insulation in our attic is up to code. He made useful suggestions about potential upgrades to our HVAC and water heater, as well as our thermostat. He installed energy efficient light bulbs in the few lamps where we didn't already have them. "We had a cracked ceiling and sagging ceilings in 3 rooms, and a portion of drywall hanging but off the nails, larry and his son, replaced the broken pieces and shored up the rest with drywall nails, and insulation, and in some cases new drywall. A dirty, difficult job, which had to be done two days in a row as it required furniture moved and painters to follow. He recommended a painter for us as well, which allowed us to set the whole thing up for one week of inconvenience, but got the job done. He and his son were pleasant as well which helped through this trying experience. Since this problem is uniform through our development we had seen where ceilings had caved in on others and were caving in slowly on the rest and wanted this done before anything fell down on us and hurt us or guest. Larry cut out two days to do 3 rooms, which allowed us to set the painter up for completion. We also had to bring in a electrician to shore up a ceiling fan now that the ceilings were set properly."

Our primary bedroom is above the garage and even though we have a newer home, you can feel cold air coming thru the floor.  It's the coldest room in the house by far.  Ed's team came in and placed foam insulation in the garage ceiling.  He gave us $100 off for Angies list discount which was nice.  They cleaned up well when done.  Now that it's warm out I can't grade the quality of the work until winter again because I won't know till then if its helping with the problem.  I will come back and update then.  We had been quoted over $6000 by another company to do the work so hopefully this works and comes in far cheaper.
