"I trimmed trees and neighbors for a fence repair project… I would be cleaning up for weeks! I did my initial chainsaw work, decided to go on Angi to see what was available and Pablo Naverrete called me back almost immediately. He offers everything from tree trimming, yard clean up and fence work. His crew cleaned up everything for $350, old branches from power outage, new from my work and the dead leaves below. He and his crew are awesome! He helped me with dynamic ask in progress for only $50 more to remove old stumps I removed and dumped in the back yard. I highly recommend Pablo and his crew for whatever you need landscaping."

"This was a small job, basically grinding part of a stump that got missed by the original service. I wish I'd hired Gallagher to begin with. They were easy to reach, showed up when they were supposed to just for a quote, but the quote was so good that I was able to approve the work right away. And because they'd brought the machine with them they were able to *do* the work right away. It didn't take long but they took time after the grinding to clean up the site and leave it in good enough condition that it will be easy for me to deal with it later. I am really pleased."

"The crew that removed my old 60 foot high tree carefully took it down with precision and care, the tree what chipped on site and the crew cleaned up so nicely, the experience was a pleasure from the beginning until completed. This company was so professional and friendly, they explained everything. My wife is so happy how clean they left the yard.. we got two thee estimates and these guys beat both of the other quotes. Could not have asked for more. Thanks, Guys!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

The felling notch you make before you make the final cut will determine which way the tree will fall. The cut will be in a wedge or triangle, and the tree will fall from the highest point of the triangle. You can use this, as well as the process described above, to estimate where a tree will fall.

Licensing requirements for arborists, also known as tree surgeons, vary by state and municipality. Many areas require a license, which often involves specialized education and experience. Even if not mandated, it's wise to hire a licensed professional as they tend to have more experience. Beyond licensing, look for certifications from organizations like the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or the Tree Care Industry Association (TCIA), as this indicates a higher level of expertise. Certified arborists must typically pass a comprehensive exam. Always confirm that the arborist has a business license and is fully insured to protect yourself from liability. Seeking positive recommendations from local homeowners is also a good step in finding a qualified professional.

It depends. Smaller, younger trees take longer to mature, but they're more resilient, their roots don't get as damaged during transplanting, and they recover faster. Plus, they're much more affordable to plant, and it's possible to DIY the planting.

On the other hand, mature trees produce fruit faster and provide more shade and privacy immediately. Ideally, a small or medium tree is the better choice if you can wait a few years for it to mature. But if you need immediate maturity, a larger tree is the only option.

In the short term, you’ll have a lot of fallen trees to deal with. Tree removal services costs typically start at $200 per tree and increase based on species and size. Then, you’ll have to deal with the loss of trees: That means a loss of shade and a greater risk of rain runoff and erosion. Also, you’ll miss out on the health and aesthetic benefits of having trees on your property, which could even affect the resale value of your home.

That being said, cutting down a tree it’s not always a bad idea. Trees growing too close to rooftops can present fire hazards or debris problems. You may need to remove diseased or dying trees to prevent future issues.

The lifespan of a bird's nest depends on the species. The building process can take from two days to three weeks. Once built, the nesting period for baby birds can last from two to ten weeks before they leave the nest. While most young birds are ready in two to six weeks, some predatory species may need up to two and a half months. Some species nest four to five times per year, so a nest could remain in use for several months. For specific information about a particular nest's longevity, it is best to consult a wildlife professional.
