"Jimmy Stewart and his son arrived to view and estimate repair of sections of vinyl siding damaged during recent wind storms. Stated that he had time to complete repairs now. Within 2 hours all damaged sections were repaired and replaced. Excellent work. Pointed out other areas that I had overlooked and completed them also. Very friendly, personable and professional. would recommend this company to anyone."

"Did a great job. The painters were very professional and kept the property clean during painting. Re-stained my front door and painted shutters and other outdoor areas. Really freshened up my property at a pretty good price. Would recommend!"

Small jobs welcome

"Allen stained a pergola, power washed some of the outside of my house, fixed soffit and replaced a piece of fascia. All his work is excellent, he is very meticulous, certainly met all my expectations. I would highly recommend Allen to anyone. He is professional, on time, and cleans up after working. I am very pleased with the results. I will definitely have him back."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

When staining a deck, don’t skip surface prep, avoid staining damp or dirty boards, and don’t apply stain in extreme heat, cold, or wet conditions. Never overload the wood with a stain, as too much can cause tackiness or peeling. Also, don’t forget to test a small area first to ensure the color and finish look right.

Limewash and whitewash do not harm surfaces if you apply them correctly. Use on non-suitable surfaces can cause issues. For instance, applying limewash or whitewash to surfaces with existing sealants or incompatible materials may lead to poor adhesion or flaking. Also, harsh cleaning agents on limewashed or whitewashed surfaces can damage the finish. Proper preparation, application, and maintenance ensure that limewash and whitewash do not harm surfaces.

Rags used with oil-based stains are highly flammable and can spontaneously combust in the right conditions. To reduce the fire risk, throw them in a metal container after use and add rocks on top to secure them. Add an inch of water and seal the container. Take the rags in the container to a hazardous waste factory as soon as possible.

It’s a good idea to sand your porch before painting. This will remove loose or chipped paint and debris, and give you a cleaner surface so that your new paint goes on smoothly. But if the existing surface is in good condition, it’s not necessary to sand your porch before you paint.

There’s no single paint that’s the most waterproof. Instead, there are several types of waterproof and water-resistant paints that suit different purposes. Epoxy paint, for instance, is commonly used to provide a waterproof coating to floors and decks. Masonry paint is an excellent choice for exterior walls. Meanwhile, there are waterproof acrylic paints that can be used for interior and exterior walls. It’s more about choosing the best type for what you’re painting instead of the most waterproof paint overall.
