Beware, his quote was bait and switch, doubled the price of the quote after 2 hrs in. of demolition.William is a snake in the grass, only looking out for himself. Beware, hire at your own risk.

"I did not change my quote . When we got the siding off the whole wall was rotted . There fore the job went from a couple of boards that needed replaced to a complete wall rebuild from the ground up . Richard was a very nice guy during the process and agreed with rebuilding the whole wall . Now he has left a review fill with lies . You cant expect a whole wall rebuild for the price of a couple board replacement"

Hired him for roof repair and drywall repair inside due to roof leak. Roof was entirely WRONG! Installed a piece of flashing to stop 'leak' when that wouldn't have ever solved a problem. Didn't even install a protective layer before installing the shingles. Finally got a friend's cousin to do the repairs and he was appalled at the job that Beattie did.

I contracted Beattie Home Improvements in good faith and paid a substantial deposit on February 26, 2025. As of June 27, 2025, only about 10% of the agreed-upon work has been completed. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, I have received no refund or accountability?leaving me no choice but to begin filing a claim in small claims court to recover the unused portion of my deposit.
While the contractor often signed off with the phrase ?God bless,? his actions told a different story. Communication was minimal and dismissive, and I was made to feel like a burden rather than a valued client. The experience has been marked by broken trust, unfulfilled commitments, and a disappointing lack of professionalism.
I urge others to look beyond surface-level pleasantries and consider my experience before engaging Beattie Home Improvements. I cannot recommend this contractor based on the costly and frustrating outcome I've endured.

My in-laws hired this company to complete several projects. One was to refinish a shed including new roof, new wood, paint, patch holes. They only did the roof and after taking $1800 from my in-laws they never returned and stopped responding to calls. The shed is maybe 8x8 so $1800 for just a metal roof is insane. Plus they left a mess for them to clean up.

Following a bumpy start, our screened-in deck project went very well. John Beattie's crew is top notch, highly skilled, professional and with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations. The roof and framing over the deck went up in one day. I am very pleased with the result. My only concern was that communications could have been better at the start of the project.

I had a leak in my roof, and he was able to quickly diagnose the problem and recommend a solution. When he returned to do the service he was finished very quickly and handled himself with professionalism. Great company to hire if you have a mobile or modular home

I was charged $4000!! To have my deck power washed, a few (think he only replced 4?) Boards and stained. He never came back to finish the job and it just had a seal coat on it. Looks terrible and now he's not answering my texts after promising to come finish it. I've been waiting since August!! So upset to be taken advantage of.

What ever you do, do not hire this guy! He ripped me off for $4000!! All he did was power washed my deck and put a base coat on and never returned to finish it even though he promised he would. Now not answering my texts. How can this be rectified?

The company was quick to respond when I called. Came out gave me an estimate and started work almost immediately. About a week later, one of the rails fell off, and I noticed that he did not put as many screws as what is allotted for in to hold the rail. I called him and waited about five days for him to come to fix the rail. When he did, I asked him to put more screws in and he did. I think it if he would have used more screws the first time hat would not have happened, but all in all it was a pretty good company to work with.

John was quick to call and come out to assess damages. He not only looked at the spit missing shingles on my roof but walked over looking at everything making suggestions. He gave me an estimate on the spot. I had others come out who o ly offered to fix the spot or recommended I needed a whole new roof without even looking. John was very professional, was responsive and came out within 2 days to fix my roof. I was very happy with not only him but the work he did. Would definitely call back if I have any future issues.

First of all, he made sign a contract on 12/28/2023 , he did not start the job until sometime in February and he called my husband for money, he claimed the job was finished and wanted to get full payment but the job is not completed. The roof still leaking and we got no response from them even after giving us a 10 year warranty.

John, was outstanding in every aspect of the construction and remodeling of our deck. Initially in suggesting the design and materials to the great construction and implementation of the design. We plan on using him in the future. He was prompt and he and his crew were very personable and respectful. In addition to the deck he put a new door and window in our basement.
