"They are doing some work for us. They have started it, but not completed it yet. We're kind of on hold right now because of the weather. They're installed the down spouts, but it was too cold to paint. They have completed approximately 50% of the work. The estimate was free. We have box gutters. They're not like the typical aluminum gutters you slap onto the side of a house. They are built into the home.  He was very thorough in evaluating the problem. I had confidence that I would not have to have him come back later or that he'd be coming back for more money. He was very thorough. He got up on the roof on both the second and on top of the third floor. His response with the quote was pretty quick. He was very professional about it. The only piece was he had other work going on, so there was a significant delay from him getting the quote completed, us saying yes to go forward to him doing the work. That sort of pushed it so that there was no chance of the job being completed. We knew it was a risk when he completed the quote. He said he had other jobs and the jobs took longer than expected, so it did push his work out by probably a month. At that point, he couldn't do the whole job. We were ok with that, but I wouldn't say it was a black mark because he was very upfront with the challenges he had to do before he could do us. We didn't get multiple quotes on this because he came with recommendations from both Angie's List and our local list serve, where we track people in our neighborhood who are doing work. So I can't speak to the competitiveness. The quality of the work was good. He had to work with the challenges of not being able to sink some screws into some loose mortar. We have some loose mortar, so he worked through that. It was a long day for him and he was there a long time. But he got it all done. He always returned my phone calls. When he said he'd be here, he was here. On-time. Didn't have to wait for him.
