TJ who completed our work today was amazing! He cleaned all 11 of our vents and duct work, and took the time to explain the process and show me where debris was collecting in our vents. "Project information: I have an old house with radiant heat. I wanted to keep the radiators so I had the air handler installed in the attic and used some closet space on the 2nd floor for piping down from the attic to the 1st floor. From the first phone call with Jason, the owner, I had a feeling he was the right guy for the job. Upon the initial proposal visit, Jason was the most thorough with his scoping out the house and planning out the layout for install. He was also the most knowledgeable, and asked me questions I hadn’t even thought of yet. From start to finish, Jason was responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly made me feel at ease that he would make sure the job was done well and to my liking. Pricing was very reasonable. The install went great. It took 4 full days. After the install, Jason even helped direct me on getting the rebate offered through Duquesne Light, which was $250. I’m very happy with my air conditioning and enjoyed a nice cool house this summer. I enthusiastically recommend using Kowalski.show more

"First: I want to be fair. Mr Pawlak was responsive to phone calls, showed up on time, and was neat and tidy in both appearance and in his work. My dissatisfaction lies in value for money, and in the lack of durability of the repair part installed. This is a follow up review to my first review last year. Barely a year after service by Pawlak's, the capacitor that Mr. Pawlak installed blew. This time I was smarter, I ordered a quality replacement part: Amrad 45/7.5 capacitor (as spec'd by manufacturer), and went with an American made part guaranteed for 5 years. The American made, guaranteed, quality part was $30, and it took 15 minutes to replace (most of that removing/replacing the access panels). The picture below shows the part installed by Mr Pawlak. It might be difficult to see, but the capacitor is bulging at the bottom and does not sit flat on the desk. This is a classic sign of a blown capacitor. This makes me think back to the "maintenance club" offer, and makes me a little angrier. I don't mind paying for service. $350 to replace a sub $10 part with 15 minutes of work "while you're on the way to another job" is not fair value for work done. $150 or $200 would have been fair, $350 for a terrible quality part was gouging. On top of that, when I read some of the reviews here, others had similar work done and paid far less. Avoid.show more

Overall Feedback: This is the second time I have used Wade Heating and Cooling and will continue to use them in the future. Felt like they treated me as part of the “Wade” family. Felt very comfortable with the process from beginning to end which was awesome since this being such a large financial investment. Crew Feedback: If you get the opportunity to choose your crew I would highly recommend Brian and Russ as installers for the job. This is the second time I had Brian as the main installer and he is absolutely terrific. Very detailed and takes the time to walk you through what they are planning to do to ensure you are comfortable and then execute based on your preferences (if they might be slightly different). This was my first time with Russ but he was very professional as well and thought he did a great job as well. Product Feedback: Wade is a “certified installer” of Carrier product and although more expensive than getting a Rheem/Rhud system I have enjoyed the quality and conditioning power of a Carrier system.show more
