Steve, the Zoom service man, identified which line was backed up and offered to clear it with either a snake for $290 with a 1 month guarantee or water jet for $461 with a 6 month guarantee. I chose to go with the water jet. He water jetted the line from the curb trap at the street several times to clear the blockage and clean the entire line. After I removed damaged carpet and washed the basement floor with bleach, there was still a noticeable sewer gas odor. I gave Zoom another call and Steve came out the same day. He diagnosed that the grease/sand trap in the basement floor had been compromised by cutting an access hole in it. Steve vacuumed out the trap and installed a repair plate using putty to re-establish the trap seal for $74. Aside from arriving an hour and a half later than projected on the second visit, I'm very happy with their work.I would definitely call them again for drain and sewer problems."
