They were amazing. I had hired someone to do excavating and they broke my sewer line. After two failed attempts to fix it I was referred to J Gallageher Septic and Wastewater. The owner came out on a Saturday evening to diagnose the problem and came back to open up my line for the weekend. Monday morning he sent two of his guys out to dig up the entire line and fix it properly. They took the time to not only explain what they were doing but to listen to my concerns. They were very professional and pleasant, went above and beyond my expectations and explained everything they had done. The next day the owner called to make sure I was satisfied. Excellent customer service and fabulous work!! Thank you Jim Gallageher and team!!

Fantastic!...First time in 23 years that the septic person explained the procedure - showed me why & what he was doing, because for 23 years the company that I had used was doing it completely wrong! and he fixed a problem I had for 23 years with my septic system, that no other company had ever bothered to take the time to explain, nor fix!...plus, the price was great too, lower than all my previous bills!..I highly recommend them - they are personal, informative, friendly, great crew!

j. Gallagher sent out two service workers within 2 hours of first contact. They performed the work (in the rain) in about 1 hour. The end result looked to be excellent.

The technicians were extremely thorough when evaluating the system and even took the time to call my son to get more specifics. They diagnosed and resolved the problem and saved me a good amount of money because I did not have to call a plumber to do additional work. After the service I scheduled a date to have my septic system cleaned. The driver arrived on time, was very pleasant and paid particular attention to not track any dirt into my house. The hole to pump the system was put back in such a way that you could hardly tell it had been dug up.
Every interaction I had with the Gallagher team was very professional and pleasant. I would highly recommend them.

We've use Jim since we've been in our home 17years. We would never use anyone else! Jim listens to our instructions to a tee when it comes to coming on our property to get to the tanks. We live on 10 acres, we have a bridge over a pond (which will not support a truck of that size) and we have very saturated areas on our property where the truck must drive. Jim knows when we have a dry spell that that's the time for him to send a truck out or he comes himself. Jim has replaced our pump twice since we've been there too. He's always quick to come out and diagnose and fix the problem with little to no hassle. He works around my work schedule, couldn't ask for anyone better than his company!

Great company-very responsive and knowledgeable. We had been having a recurring problem with the sewer pipe clogging and having to have the sewer line snaked out. J Gallagher correctly diagnosed the problem as being a sag in the old sewer line which was causing the clogging. Replaced the sewer line-problem solved! Excellent responsiveness in emergency and non-emergency situations. Reliable all around-they show when they say they will. Highly recommended!

Within a hour, Mr Gallagher himself turned up and diagnosed the problem and admitted his guys probably should have noticed the problem when they did the last service. He spent 2-3 hours emptying the septic and assessing everything. Then came back on Monday and replaced all the parts that had failed.
We were delightfully surprised when the invoice came and he charged us nothing for the work on Sunday. Whether or not his guys should have noticed the issue when they emptied the tank is not something I would have ever been able to determine. As such, I wouldn't have expected the work to be done for free. He did it because doing a good job is important to him.
This is exactly how I want every service provider to act.

We had a back up in the main drain leading to the septic tank, which started to flood the basement - on Christmas day. I called several '24 hour emergency' places that didn't seem to want to come out on the holiday. I waited until the next day and came across J. Gallagher. I called early in the morning and got the answering service. Jim, the owner, called me back in about 1 minute. He asked me questions and got some history on the house/septic system. He came by shortly after that. He looked at things and got to work. There were three manholes out in the yard, but he was looking for a fourth one. He ended up finding it in the flowerbed, it had been covered up at some point before purchasing the house. He did some more looking around and found the clog in the basement floor. He hooked his equipment up and was able to remove the clog saving us a bit of money. He then emptied the septic tanks and informed us of exactly what size tanks and such we had out there.
He completed the job quickly and knew exactly what he was doing. Jim is extremely knowledgeable in his work and had no trouble explaining everything to us. He was very easy to talk to about the job and about other general things.
I wish I would have come across his company on Christmas day. He probably would have come out right away! J. Gallagher is my new septic company.

Contacted J Gallagher Septic and Wastewater ASAP this a.m. via Angie's list. Within 10 minutes, was contacted by Robin who discussed the problem and then immediately had me placed on the work order route. Grateful is an understatement. Tim arrived this morning. He was professional, knowledgeable, and began working right away. The job was complete in a timely manner and the area was put back together neatly.

Was contacted by Jim, the owner. Friendly and understanding of our situation . One of his employees, Tom, came today. He was very friendly , helpful, knowledgeable and informative, and a great worker. Did not seem to be bothered by our many questions ; he answered them all. He performed the requested work and explained our cesspools(2) system to us. From my first experience with them I would highly recommend them for septic/cesspool service. Thanks guys!
