"Working with DJ from Groundworks (Select Basement) has been an outstanding experience. After struggling with various contractors who either failed to resolve our water issues or were unprofessional, DJ and his team truly stood out. DJ was incredibly helpful, patient, and responsive throughout the entire process. Our home is a ranch with 225 linear feet around the perimeter, and while other contractors insisted on installing a French drain for the entire length, DJ recommended a more targeted approach. He proposed installing the French drain for just 80 linear feet, focusing only on the areas where water intrusion was likely. His thorough explanations and prompt responses to all our questions were greatly appreciated. The workers arrived on time, maintained a clean work environment, and completed the job as promised. "I got my basement waterproofed in January 2023 paid $16K for it & I had to call them twice already because still getting water in the basement not only that but this machine has been beeping consistently every 2-3 seconds because it needs service I called them to come out to resolve the matter but have to wait a whole month for someone to come out! "They did it right & quickly. However, the price quoted to me was no where near the final price. They said they installed a secondary pump which added $1450 more! I don't see how a 2nd pump cost more than the primary one. Don't like getting bids over the phone without seeing what needs to be done."

"They truly live by the code of "you get what you paid for". The price was cheaper than expected (and they included a free estimate too). So ultimately, our slow bathtub drain was cleared. However, the technician had terrible housekeeping. After stripping the caulking around the overflow valve, they left the caulking pieces in the bathtub and told us to flush them down the drain (?!). They said the provided bio solution would clear the pieces just fine...but why do that when a trash can is less than a foot away?? Then, they did not offer to reseal the valve they just opened...just left a mess for us to pick up. As such, we will not be using them again next time...free estimate or not. If we wanted the bare minimum, we would have done it ourselves."
